Tonight is also the series premiere of Roommates on ABC Family at 9/8c. The bags are packed, the boxes are already moved in and five twenty-somethings are about to embark on the funny and unpredictable rollercoaster ride of living with roommates. The series stars Tamera Mowry (Sister, Sister), Tyler Francvilla, Dorian Brown, Tommy Dewey & David Weidoff. The show follows a group of friends in New York City trying to figure out love and life in their post-collegiate years. Loveable but awkward Mark (Francavilla) stumbles upon his dream come true when he runs into his old high-school crush, Katie (Brown), and becomes her new roommate in an attempt to finally win her heart. Unfortunately for Mark, Katie is still in love with her on-again/off-again boyfriend. Further complicating matters, Mark doesn’t hit it off with Katie’s best friend and roommate, Hope (Mowry), a strong willed executive who Mark learns, unbeknownst to her fellow roommates, has lost her job and now secretly works at a coffee shop. The fourth and final apartment mate is James (Dewey), who works in the investment world and takes great pleasure in watching Mark’s feeble attempts to win Katie’s favor. Rounding out the group is Mark’s former roommate and best friend, Thom (Weidoff), a quirky guy who takes an instant liking to Hope. As they look for love, inside the apartment and out, struggle with their current and future job options, and deal with overbearing parents who can’t seem to let go, the roommates lean on each other to make it through this tough but exciting time of life. Now, if they could just figure out a bathroom schedule that would work for everyone!

Following that is the series premiere of Sophie on ABC Family at 9:30/8:30c. Natalie Brown stars as Sophie in this heartwarming and comedic tale of a young woman facing the most challenging year of her life. Sophie Parker had everything she ever wanted: a successful talent agency, a loving boyfriend and a baby on the way. But all at once everything falls apart. Her boyfriend, Rick, leaves her to move in with Sophie’s best friend–and top client–Melissa, and adding insult to injury, opens a competing talent agency. Now having to deal with being a single mom and rebuild her business Sophie leans on her friend Matt, her neurotic client Estelle, and her manipulative mother. It also stars Amy Lalonde, Catherine Berube, Chantelle Chung, Jeff Geddis, Mimi Kuzyk, Sara Botsford & Sebastian Spence.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Table for 12 on TLC at 10/9c. When Eric and Betty Hayes decided to start a family, they never fathomed they would one day be the parents of three sets of multiples, totaling ten children. TLC traces this clan’s daily experiences and often times chaotic outings in the new series. Eric and Betty’s brood consists of 12-year-old twin boys Kevin and Kyle, 10-year-old twins Kieran and Meghan, and 4-year-old sextuplets Tara, Rachel, Ryan, Connor, EJ and Rebecca, who has cerebral palsy and is extremely special to the family. Eric — a funny and dynamic police officer, and Betty — a modest and loving stay-at-home mom, are admired and praised by their family and friends.

Thursday

Thursday is the series premiere of In the Motherhood on ABC at 8/7c. The show is based on a popular web series of the same name and will feature stories inspired by real life experiences of viewers shared through the ABC website. Megan Mullally (Will & Grace) and Cheryl Hines (Curb Your Enthusiasm) come to ABC in the new comedy, In the Motherhood, which takes a look at the importance of family and friends while trying to juggle motherhood, work and love lives in an overly complicated modern world. The story focuses on Rosemary (Mullally), Jane (Hines) and Emily (Jessica St. Clair), who represent mothers we all know. Rosemary is a free-wheeling mom who plays it fast and loose when it comes to parenting her teenaged son, Syd. Married numerous times, but currently single, Rosemary lives by her own rules. Much to the amazement of the other moms, her nontraditional parenting style has yielded a son much more responsible than she. Rosemary’s best friend, Jane, is a recently divorced working mother of a pre-teen, Annie, and a baby girl, Sophie, who is just trying to keep her career and home afloat. Having just returned to work after giving birth eight months ago, Jane struggles to find a happy balance – lucky for her she has her “manny,” Horatio (Horatio Sanz, Saturday Night Live), to help out. Jane’s younger sister, Emily, sees herself as the model stay-at-home-super-mom for her two young children, Esther and Bill. Emily’s home is a work of art, and her kids are polite and sweet—everything has its place in her world. Married to Jason (RonReaco Lee), Emily takes parenting as seriously as any mother could. As for the men in their lives, Horatio, Jane’s “manny,” communicates with Jane’s infant daughter through sign language and believes the baby is the only person who really “gets” him. He’s a good-hearted lug who is also much more than a babysitter to the three ladies. Then there’s Jason, Emily’s husband, who is the uptight breadwinner, ready at any given moment to open a vein for his family. He likes his food to be organic and his wife, home and children at the top of their class. Basically he’s an ulcer waiting to happen.
