This just in! George is not returning to Grey’s Anatomy! According to Ausiello, T.R. Knight has been released from his contract early, after the actor himself had requested it. Some fans have wondered if the character of George would live but with facial reconstruction surgery done by Dr. Sloan, aka McSteamy, however the bosses at ABC & Grey’s have not confirmed or completely denied that rumour. I personally will be sad to see George go, but do not believe that another actor should take over the role. Despite all the backstage drama surrounding him, T. R. Knight was George for me, and so I say RIP George. The only remaining question is if Izzie ( Katherine Heigl ) will be remaining on the show. No news as of yet.
More Grey’s Anatomy and other news after the jump.
On a brighter note, Jessica Capshaw, who plays paediatric surgeon Arizona on Grey’s Anatomy, has been promoted to a full time series regular. After the rocky road of romance has taken Callie ( Sara Ramirez ) through, George, McSteamy, and Dr. Hahn, I believe it’s about time she got a decent love story. Arizona and Callie have a great chemistry and I am looking forward to see where it goes next season. Check out the full article here.
Are you looking forward to the having your weekly fix of vampires with the CW’s Vampire Diaries? Perhaps you’re more interested in the old school pairing of 90210 and Melrose Place? Well, I hope you still have your calendar handy, because here’s the new CW fall schedule. Noteworthy changes include, Smallville moving to Fridays and Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill switching time slots. Network reps have said that One Tree Hill is a show that has never needed a strong lead in whereas Gossip Girl would be against too big of a competition from other networks at 8 pm.
Season two of The Secret Life of the American Teenager premieres next Monday, June 22nd on ABC Family, and it’s shaping up to be the start of a drama filled season. With guest stars like Rumer Willis ( Demi Moore and Bruce Willis’ daughter ), appearing as a pregnant teen and a death in the first new episode, we’re definitely in for an eventful season. Although The Secret Life has baby drama, relationship woes and teenage sex, it also makes sure to teach young people the consequences of actions for themselves and their families. Whether or not it’s your secret weekly addiction to watch, one has to admit that more shows like this one could be beneficial compared to some of the other teen shows on TV right now. For some details on the second season check out this article with Kristine@EOnline.
