Hello all! Not a big fan of Mondays, except today is a holiday in Canada so that’s a nice thing. Last night’s True Blood was fang-tastic! I CANNOT wait until next week’s episode, what did you all think? Anyways, I suppose I should get to work, and report some news 🙂 Here goes.
CBS is reviving one of the classic game shows, Let’s Make a Deal. The show will star Wayne Brady as the host and it will premiere on October 5th, but for Guiding Light fans, it’s bittersweet, as this game show is replacing that soap opera. I’m not too sad with the loss of Guiding Light, never watched it, but I do think this is a great addition to CBS daytime, and I’m sure it’ll be a hit. Wayne Brady is hilarious, and I loved the original Let’s Make a Deal. This is just another reason that I can’t wait for Fall. 🙂 Source
More news after the jump
Grant Bowler will be returning to Ugly Betty as Wilhelmina’s ex Connor, for a multiple episode arc. We haven’t seen the crook since season 3 when he left abruptly after Betty figured out he’d stolen millions from Meade Publications, however poor Wilhelmina spent the rest of the season pining away for him, and I’m sure that will continue in the Fall. Are you happy he’s back? All I can say is everyone better guard their valuables 😉 Source
Ausiello is blogging from the press tour, and I thought you all might find it interesting. This link is about the session with the CBS’ executives, and topics such as helping CSI’s ratings and the decisions to cancel Without a Trace and others. I’m kind of upset that they are saying no new episodes of Flashpoint are being made except for the ones they have because I really enjoyed that show. Anyways, check it out HERE
On the topic of the Press tour, The TV Addict is also hooking us up with some live blogs 🙂 Here’s one regarding the new Julianna Margulies legal drama, The Good Wife. I’m really looking forward to this new show, and although it’s not on the top of my must see tv just yet, I am happy to see Margulies back on TV and on a drama that is actually quite good. Enjoy the live reporting 🙂
One last bit of news, Kara Dioguardi will be returning as a judge on American Idol’s ninth season, which premieres January 2010, on FOX. I’m not incredibly excited about this news, but it’s okay news. Dioguardi was decent on last season, and although I thought she tried too hard to be the female version of Simon, she does know her music. My only plea is that she doesn’t write the next song for the winner of season 9. That last song, No Boundaries, was terrible. I’m just saying is all. 😉 Source
That’s it for today, but check out new episodes of Make It or Break It and The Secret Life of the American Teenager tonight on ABC Family, or for something more adult you can catch a new episode of Nurse Jackie on HBO!
