TV News – 8/7/09

Yay, it’s Friday! šŸ˜€ Not a whole lot of news but there’s some, and of course some more press tour news as well. So let’s get started.

A little more news about Paris Hilton guest starring on Supernatural for you. According to the series creator and executive producer, Eric Kripke, “Paris Hilton is playing a demonic creature that takes the form of… Paris Hilton.” The episode entitled American Idol hits our tv screens on October 8th on CW network. I guess it won’t be all bad because it’s not like she actually has to act, she just has to be herself šŸ™‚ Source

More after the jump.

According to Ausiello, Virginia Madsen (Sideways) is heading over to Monk for a three episode story. She’s going to be playing a love interest for Stottlemeyer (Ted Levine), named T.K. Jensen. I enjoy Monk so any extra ratings for guest stars during the show’s last season is fine by me šŸ™‚

Other casting news, Aimee Teegarden who plays Julie Taylor on Friday Night Lights, told E!Online that she’s going to be on the newest cult phenomenon, Legend of the Seeker. Aimee will play a confessor, who causes a lot of trouble without actually meaning to. Sounds like a fun episode, and I think Aimee will be great. I just wish that Friday Night Lights was coming back sooner. šŸ™

The TV Addict has posted an awesome interview with Kathy Griffin (My Life on the D-List),and with remarks on people like Paula Abdul and Sarah Palin this is a must read interview. I love Kathy, she’s fantastic and absolutely hilarious. Let me just say that I agree with Kathy if you leave your Emmy in the bathroom, it’s fair game šŸ˜‰ Check out the full interview HERE.

Fringe is one of my favorite newer shows, and it’s first season was amazing. I’m excited about the new season, and I really enjoyed reading The TV Addict’s live blog about Fringe. Joshua Jackson (Dawson’s Creek, Mighty Ducks šŸ˜€ ) is great on this show, and John Noble’s character of Walter Bishop is always so fascinating. The live blog discusses things like how they’re going to deal with the different universes, and about the pride Joshua feels about the show moving to his hometown of Vancouver, BC, Canada to film. Yay, Canada šŸ˜€ Check it out here with The TV Addict

That’s it for tonight, check back this weekend when I recap my week of television viewing, including shows like True Blood and Big Brother. Not to mention, Jenny will have the weekly TV schedule up as well. I love that schedule, it’s so handy to help me find everything I need to watch, or set my DVR for! šŸ™‚ Have a great weekend!
