TV News – 8/10/09

It’s Monday again, this summer just seems to be flying by! I had a pretty good weekend, family bbq, and of course a new episode of True Blood! I loved it, but I’m starting to get aggravated with all these cliff hangers, lol. I hate not knowing what’s happening. 🙂 Okay enough about me and my issues, let’s talk about the news.

Ever wonder what’s going on with Nadya Suleman aka Octomom? Well, Fox, will be airing a two-hour special on August 19th, titled, Octomom:The Incredible Unseen Footage. Suleman made the news when she gave birth to octuplets conceived through in vitro, back in January. She already had six children at home and a lot about this woman has been kept on the down low, but Fox will be giving the viewers a look into what goes on in Suleman’s life during this special. We’ll get a look at Suleman’s life from the birth of the octuplets until now, the good, the bad, and the ugly. I’m not sure if I’ll be watching, but I do know that I’m not a fan and that’s all I’m going to say on that. Source

More after the jump.

If you’re a House fan then you’ll like this bit of news, Cameron and Chase will be back into their old jobs this fall. We’re going to see Foreman, Cameron and Chase all affected by what’s going on with House, and there are definitely going to be complications with Chase and Cameron and their newlywed status. It’s going to be hard for them to work with each other again, and that’s going to add some tension to the season. I’m really looking forward to this season on House, and I’ve always loved the group of Cameron, Chase and Foreman working together. What do you think? Excited? Check out the article and some video interview clips here with Ausiello

King of the Hill will be ending it’s reign on September 13th with a one-hour finale. The series has lasted 13 seasons which is second only to The Simpsons, which are going in their 20th year. During the finale, Bobby (Pamela Adlon) will ask Connie (Lauren Tom) to homecoming and Hank (Mike Judge) will deal with his mom marrying a man she barely knows. I’m not a huge fan of the show but it has had it’s moments, and 13 seasons is one hell of a run for an animated series. So farewell and well done! Source

How would you like to see a new Gossip Girl promo for season 3? I know I was excited! 😀 This short clip is full of scandals, Chuck kissing a random girl, Nate in a car with his new fling Bree (Joanna Garcia) and Georgina at a party! Lots of stuff for a 30 second clip! Gossip Girl returns September 14th at 9 pm, are you going to be watching? Check out the clip below. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJj39K_-5Kw

Leaving American Idol may turn out to be beneficial for Paula Abdul, because since leaving she’s had talks with Nigel about So You Think You Can Dance and now ABC boss Steve McPherson is mentioning he’d love to get her on Dancing With the Stars, either as a judge or a contestant. According to McPherson, there are “no formal plans…” yet, but only time will tell. Go Paula! I could see her dancing on DWTS or even as a guest judge on either dance show, she’s a sweet lady, a little kooky but no one can say she didn’t support the contestants fully. What do you think, does Paula have a future on TV or did she give up her meal ticket when she left American Idol? Source

One bit of news that has Jenny excited… TNT has renewed HawthoRNe for a 2nd season. Jenny loves the show and Michael Vartan (Alias) is oh so yummy! Source

Finally, I’d like to direct you over to The TV Addict, and his live blog of the FLASHFORWARD panel. There are a few nice scoops and the similarities between Lost and FLASHFORWARD are discussed. This is one of the new shows I’m looking forward to this Fall, and I really enjoyed this post by The TV Addict, and I hope you do as well!

That’s it for news today, I’m off to watch Snow Buddies with my daughter for the millionth time this month! As far as TV goes tonight, catch a new episode of Make it or Break it on ABC Family at 9 pm or another new episode of Who Wants to be a Millionaire? on ABC at 8 pm. Have a great night!
