Fans of True Blood, the books and the show, will be thrilled to hear that Alan Ball has declared that the werewolf, Alcide Herveaux, will definitely be in season 3. He hasn’t been cast yet, but he should even appear in the 1st episode. More info here: EOnline

Desperate Houseives creator, Marc Cherry, has extended his contract with ABC for 2 more years, which could keep the show on the air through at least 2013. Read more about whether the main cast will stick around that long, by choice or not, here: EOnline

Syfy gave a greenlight to a reimaging of the UK Series Being Human. I watched the first season on BBC America and really, really enjoyed it. From the article, it sounds like they are adapting it to an American audience. So instead of just showing the original on a US network, does that mean they are going to recast the characters, set it in America and not overseas, etc? *shrug* I’ll be interested, however they do it, if for no other reason than to just give it a shot! More here: The Futon Critic

Nick Swardson, who made appearances on Reno 911! and standup on Comedy Central, has been given the greenlight by Comedy Central for a 6 episode sketch series to premiere in 2010. To find out more about Nick Swardson and the upcoming series, check it out here: The Futon Critic

Fans of Bones have been waiting for this exciting news! We now have a date for when Emily Deschanel’s (Brennan) sister, Zooey Deschanel, will guest star. Zooey (Elf, The Assassination of Jesse James, Yes Man, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy) will be play a distant relative of Temperance Brennan in the December 10th Christmas episode. Also in that episode will be Brennan’s father, Max Keenan (Ryan O’Neal). Check out more about Zooey and the episode here: The Futon Critic

Greek will return for the 2nd half of its season on Monday, January 25th in a new timeslot, at 10/9c. It will now follow other ABC Family powerhouse shows, The Secret Life of the American Teenager at 8/7c and Make It or Break It at 9/8c. More info here: Zap2It

Sorry, Trauma fans! Looks like NBC will let the show play out it’s 13 ordered episodes but won’t be adding any more. They aren’t calling it cancelled yet, but… yeah. More here: Zap2It
