TV News – 12/23/09

My house is so busy today with the excitement of the holiday, we’re going to do some more baking today and then later I’m going to start wrapping the presents so that I don’t leave it until Christmas Eve (like every other year 🙂 ). Can you believe how quickly Christmas has gotten here? Only two more sleeps until Christmas Day! Now enough about me and my obsession with the date, let’s get to some news.

Just because it’s the holiday season and because I like you, I’m going to link you up to another spoiler chat today. Ausiello is dishing about some of our favorites including, Glee and True Blood. There are some juicy details, so if you love spoilers get going here!If you don’t like spoilers then don’t click the link. More after the jump.

Starz is getting a new president and CEO, in the form of Chris Albrecht who developed The Sopranos and was formerly at HBO. Albrecht had been with HBO for over 20 years and has helped launch a lot of original programming. Starz has recently been going towards more scripted programs such as Crash, Party Down and the newest show Spartacus: Blood and Sand. I think that Albrecht will add to the upward climb of the network and his experience will hopefully help them develop even more original programming that we’ll enjoy. Source

Animation is hitting HBO in the form of The Ricky Gervais Show on February 19th. The show will be an animation of the stars past podcasts with Stephen Merchant and Karl Pikington. Those podcasts made world records for being the most downloaded ever. I think this will be amusing and I’m a fan of Gervais so I’ll give it a shot. Following the broadcast of The Ricky Gervais Show on February 19th will be the second season premiere of The Life and Times of Tim, HBO’s other animated series. Source

That’s all I have for now, news is scarce today. Have a great day.
