Raising Hope is a new family comedy from the creator of My Name is Earl, Greg Garcia. The Chance family adds a new member to the family and it adds to the already chaotic household. Jimmy Chance (Lucas Neff), is 23 years old, cleans pools, parties all the time and still lives at home with his family. That family is a mixture of interesting characters including Maw Maw (Cloris Leachman), His mom, Virginia (Martha Plimpton), his father, Burt (Garrett Dillahunt) and his cousin, MIKE (Skyler Stone). Life for Jimmy gets turned upside down after he gets romantic with Lucy (Bijou Phillips), and then she goes to jail. Later Jimmy goes to visit Lucy in prison and finds out that she gave birth to their baby. He is then given the baby girl to care for much to the dismay of his family. His parents were only 15 when they had him, and don’t want to do it again. Virginia thinks that the baby should be named Hope, and Jimmy is hoping to find help from anyone. The comedy will watch the hilarious moments unfold while the Chance family tries to raise the baby. It takes a village after all?
From the creator and the star of the FOX series Arrested Development comes Running Wilde. It stars Will Arnett (Arrested Development as Steve Wilde, a rich, childish player trying to win the love of his childhood love, Emmy Kadubic (Keri Russell).Emmy is a humanitarian and Steve is well Steve. He’s rich, selfish and has never worked, although he still gets everything he wants, except for Emmy. Emmy lives in the Amazon rainforest with her daughter, Puddle (Stefania Owen), who’s 12 years old who just wants to do normal kid things in a normal place but she hasn’t spoken in years. Emmy and Steve’s paths cross again when Wilde Oil’s new project threatens her tribe in the forest, and she tries to convince him to help her. Steve doesn’t want to rock the boat in case he ticks off his dad (aka the hand that feeds him), but he does want her! The rest is Steve trying to win Emmy’s heart and Emmy trying to save the world. Do opposites really attract?
Mid season we’ll be seeing a new animated comedy, Bob’s Burger about a man, his family and a burger place. Bob Belcher (H. Jon Benjamin) is in charge at Bob’s Burgers and is helped by his wife and three kids. Bob thinks that the burgers will speak for themselves even though his customer service, business management and the cleanliness of the store is lacking. Business is slow, but the family does it together. His wife Linda (John Roberts) supports him even though she’s getting tired of the slow times, and their children are there too. The oldest Tina (Dan Mitz) is 13 and has her mind on romance though she’s lacking any social skills at all. Gene (Eugene Mirman) is musician and a comedian, and the youngest Louise (Kristin Schaal) loves the family business but her hyperactivity causes issues in the kitchen. The neighbourhood adds some amusement too, with a Funeral home, an amusement pier, and the middle school. There’s also Bob’s big competition Jimmy’s Pesto Pizzeria, that causes Bob constant aggravation. We won’t see it until after January, but I’m interested to see where they go with this one.
Mixed Signals follows three friends and their attempts to fix the unfixable, and balance their relationships with their need for freedom. The show will take a look at how friendships and romance make guys lives better, and harder at the same time. Ethan (Kris Marshall) is the bachelor, who has trouble committing after 3 weeks. Ethan is sweet and charming but his inability to commit makes life hard. Adam (Nelson Franklin) just moved in with his girlfriend, Callie (Alexandra Breckenridge) and is just realizing the difference between just sleeping over and living with someone. It’s hard to lose that independent me time and have all that couple time. Mike (David Denman), is the married lawyer who is still trying to figure out the relationship map. He wants to be a good husband to Lisa (Liza Lapira) and his baby boy, but still wants some time for himself. He spends time watching movies in his car, 15 minutes at time while telling his wife he was stuck in traffic. There’s always drama for men and women and this show will show us just how much there is at times.
Lonestar is from the creators of Party of Five (Chris Keyser and Amy Lippman), the director of 500 Days of Summer (Marc Webb) and creator Kyle Killen. This is an edgy new series set in Texas and the oil business. Robert/Bob Allen (James Wolk) is a scheming man who is living two lives with two different women. Bob lives in Houston and is married Cat (Adrianne Palicki), the daughter of a wealthy oil tycoon, Clint (Jon Voight). He’s the best husband, and his in-laws give him a great position in the family oil business, giving Bob access to clean the company out. As Robert he lives in the town of Midland, and he’s dating Lindsay (Eloise Mumford) who’s sweet and naive. He appears as the perfect boyfriend, but he’s stealing savings from local investors.
He’s always done a good job with both lives, but he’s starting arouse suspicion from his brother-in-law Trammell (Mark Deklin). His other brother-in-law, Drew (Bryce Johnson) admires Bob, but that won’t be enough soon. He’s trying to be true to the two women he loves, his father, John (David Keith) and his father-in-law Clint who he respects. The two worlds are getting hard to balance and keep a float, so tune in to watch him juggle his life and deal with the fall out.

Terra Nova will bring us a family adventure, back to prehistoric time to save the human race. In the year 2149 the world is dying. The planet is overdeveloped, overcrowded and over polluted, with most living orgasms (plants, animals, etc) extinct. A group of scientists open a fracture in the space-time continuum, creating a portal to prehistoric Earth. The door leads to an amazing world, where they have the chance of correcting past mistakes to save the world in the present. The Shannon family will join the pilgrimage to Terra Nova, to join the first colony of humans.
