True Beauty Premiere – 5/31/10

Tonight is the season premiere of True Beauty. Where contestants think they’re trying to compete to be become the “Face of Vegas”, but they’re also being judged by Carson Kressley(Queer Eye for the Straight Guy) and Beth Ostrosky Stern (wife of Howard Stern and former model) on their inner beauty. Vanessa Minnillo (Entertainment Tonight), will be hosting and judging as well, but will only show herself to the contestants once they’re eliminated.

The show is executive produced by Tyra Banks (America’s Next Top Model) and Ashton Kutcher (Punk’d).

Find a description of the new contestants below and my impression of them from the premiere.

Regina- Miss New Jersey Teen 2005
First Impressions: Very cute, but slightly sleazy looking. She really thinks she’s fabulous.

Michael- Actor/Model
First Impressions: He’s very attractive but really full of himself, just not that great of a rapper.

Liz-Model
First Impressions: Wow, she’s uber conceited. I don’t think she’s that beautiful. She’s really bitchy.

Taylor-Former Professional Athlete
First Impressions: Too much of a party guy, but he’s quite attractive.

Erika-Singer/Cocktail Waitress
First Impressions: Very pretty, but I wonder if her personality will be as fake as her breasts.

JD- Real Estate Agent
First Impressions: Not really that attractive, and calls himself “Mr. Fantastic”. LMAO I actually think he’s more insecure than he’s showing.

Michelle- Aspiring Dancer
First Impressions: She seems kind of sweet and she’s kind of cute.

David-House DJ/Astrology
First Impressions: Really odd looking, but he has some awesome hair, which he spends way too much time on. The astrology stuff gets really old fast.

Amy-Bartender
First Impressions: So beautiful, but believes getting old is the end of the world. She also thinks she’s better than a scale of 1 to 10 .

Craig-Retail Manager
First Impressions: Really adorable, but doesn’t seem that smart. He’s incredibly corny.

I have to admit at first I thought this show would be a complete waste of time, however I actually found myself curious to see how many of these people would do the right thing when presented with a moral dilemma. Some of their behaviour is shocking and some is down right nasty. If you are looking for an amusing show to tune out reality to, then tune into True Beauty tonight at 10 pm on ABC. Then hit the comment section after the show and tell me what you thought of the contestants. I’ll review the whole show tomorrow. Happy viewing.
