Megan and I are starting a new column today. Each day, Sunday through Friday, we will post the one show we think you should be watching that night. Our picks may be the same sometimes, but not always (as is the case tonight!). If we could control your remote, these would be our choices as to what you would have to watch. Some of them may surprise you. Some won’t. Regardless, we hope you enjoy them!
I hate to admit it, but I may very well be a… bad TV fanatic. *cringe* There, I said it. For someone who runs a website dedicated to TV, I have rather “bad” taste in shows. Or so I’ve been told on multiple occasions. I never watched The West Wing, Gilmore Girls, I HATED Lost, and although I liked it, for some reason, I quit watching True Blood in the middle of season 1.

So on that note, if you are like me, you might enjoy my pick for the one show you should be watching tonight: HGTV’s Design Star, on HGTV at 10/9c. I know, I know. I see many of you out there shaking your heads in shame. But I quite enjoy the show. Clive is adorable as host, and the judges are fun. Most of all, almost every season, there have been at least a few designers that are extremely fun to watch. It’s light, easy watching, and good for basically turning off your brain, relaxing, and preparing for the upcoming week.
If I controlled your remote… I’d control the world! 😀 Okay, enough of my thoughts of world domination by programming television. It was a hard decision for me to pick one show for you to watch, but I did my best. My choice for you tonight is True Blood on HBO at 9/8c. It’s the third season premiere, and I’m sure it’s going to be amazing.
True Blood has a bit of everything, but it’s not for the faint of heart. There is gore, and sex, but I will tell you that the storylines are fabulous and the characters are both interesting and deep. (Doesn’t hurt that they are easy on the eyes either.) When we left off last season, Bill was kidnapped while out for dinner with Sookie. We don’t know who did it (though many of us suspect Eric), and if he’s okay, but we’ll find out more tonight. This season is also promising us some werewolf action on top of the already hot vampires. Frankly, to miss it is a crime against all that is great about TV. You want to escape reality? You watch vampires, mind readers and shape shifters. Enjoy your Sunday night television, and let us know what you watched.
