TV News – 6/28/10

It’s been a busy Monday, and I’ll be happy to see Tuesday. 🙂 Let’s talk news.

Janeane Garofalo (24), has joined the new Criminal Minds spin-off, as an agent. The spinoff is currently being titled, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behaviour, and it stars the excellent Forest Whitaker. No word yet on what Garofalo’s exact character will be but I’m sure whatever it is it’s going to be fabulous! I love her don’t you? Source

More after the jump.

Some casting news on the new Syfy show, Being Human. First Sam Witwer (Smallville), has been cast as the vampire Aidan in the US remake of the UK dramedy. I think he’s going to make a delicious vampire, don’t you? Yum.

They’ve also cast Meaghan Rath (The Assistants), as the ghost Molly, and Sam Huntington (Cavemen) is in the works for the werewolf Josh. The show looks promising focusing on a group of roommates who are different, (a vampire, a werewolf and a ghost), but they’re trying to fit in even though they aren’t quite normal. 😀 I’m really excited for this casting news, and even more excited for the series. Yay Syfy! (Note from Jenny: I’ve seen the first season of the British version, and really enjoyed it, aside from missing out on a few things in translation – places, jokes, phrases, etc – so the US version is something I’m REALLY looking forward to!) Judy Greer (Miss Guided), has joined the cast of the new CBS comedy, Mad Love which follows four friends in New York, who are trying to find love. Greer replaces Lizzy Caplan who was playing Connie in the pilot originally. I think Greer is going to knock this role out of the park, and with Sarah Chalke (Scrubs) and Tyler Labine (Reaper) on board as well, I’ll be tuned in for sure. Source

That’s all for tonight but check back tomorrow for more news and reviews.
