TV News – 7/6/10

It’s been a long but great day. I’ve been outside most of the day hanging out with my daughter that’s after I got the opportunity to chat with the delightful Neil Jackson from Make It or Break It. Sometimes it’s hard to believe that this is my life, but I’ll keep it. 🙂 Now onto my small offering of news.

Ian Cusick (Lost), will be guest starring on at least two episodes of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and he’ll be getting his flirt on with Olivia (Mariska Hargitay). Cusick will be an artist who comes to the rescue of someone in need, and that’s how he meets Olivia. I’m all for any story line that could possibly bring Olivia some love because that girl needs an outlet, don’t you think?Source
More after the jump.

Some news about the new FX drama Outlaw Country, it has cast Haley Bennett (Marley & Me) and Luke Grimes (Brothers & Sisters), getting the ball moving along for the new drama. Bennett will try her luck with playing a country singer, and Grimes will be an outlaw trying to turn over a new leaf for the sake of his family. The show sounds interesting, but time will tell. In some more casting news, David Strathairn (The Bourne Ultimatium, The Spiderwick Chronicles) has joined the cast of the new Syfy show Alphas. The show will follow “a team of ordinary citizens who possess extraordinary and unusual mental skills” as they use their special skills to help solve things that even the highest government agency couldn’t or wouldn’t solve. Strathairn will be playing the team leader, and I for one am so excited about not only this casting but this pilot! I love his work don’t you? For more on this casting head over to The Futon Critic

I told you it was poor tonight, some interesting news but slim pickings. I’m sure once the week picks up a bit I’ll have some details for you but for now I hope you can just enjoy what i’ve found for you. 😀 Happy Viewing.
