TV News – 7/13/10

OMG! OMG! OMG! Only 8 more sleeps until Comic-Con! 😀 I’m so incredibly excited it’s ridiculous. I won’t gloat too much, but rest assured you will all reap in the rewards of me being there, in the form of details, pictures and articles galore! 😀 Onto the news…

It’s been made official that Sela Ward (Once and Again) will be joining the cast of CSI: NY after the departure of Melina Kanakaredes (Stella). Kanakaredes chose not to renew her contract, the details of why are not entirely clear, but it’s time to move forward. I really do enjoy Sela and while I will miss Stella, I feel that Sela will bring some new blood and excitement to the show. Source

More after the jump

Some more Life UneXpected casting news for you. First, Arielle Kebbel (Gilmore Girls) will be joining the cast as Paige who will end up being a bartender at Baze’s (Kristoffer Polaha) bar. There’s a chance she’ll end up being a love interest for Baze as well.
Second, Amy Price-Francis (24), has been cast as Kelly, someone who becomes a partner on the radio show with Cate (Shiri Appleby) and Ryan (Kerr Smith). These are two recurring roles, and comes on the back of the news that Shaun Sipos (Melrose Place) has been cast as a new hottie teacher at Lux’s (Brittany Robertson) school. I’m hoping all this casting news means that the network will also give it some fabulous advertising because frankly this show deserves it. This show is one of my favorite new shows from last season, and I’m super excited to see what it brings to the table in season 2. Source

For the final news of the night, Josh Stewart (Criminal Minds) has signed on to play Watcher to Michael Chiklis’ superhero family on the new ABC drama No Ordinary Family. The role is recurring and we’ll see him throughout the season. This awesome new show premieres on ABC on September 28th. Excited?Source

That’s all for tonight I hope you had a great day and I’ll bring you more excitement tomorrow. Night all.
