TV News – 10/18/10

I understand the phrase, “Manic Monday”, even more today. Packing to move in less than 2 weeks, pregnant and a daughter home sick with a bladder infection makes for one tired and cranky mommy. Let’s see if I can brighten up my own day with some good news, and maybe I’ll amuse you while I’m at it. 🙂

NBC has been busy giving full-season pick ups to three of their new shows. The Event, Outsourced and Law & Order: Los Angeles, have all been give a full first season. I’m surprised by the pick up for Law & Order: LA because it hasn’t been doing particularly well in ratings. There is still no word on Undercovers or Chase, but if they gave LOLA a pickup I’d hope they’d recognize Undercovers with a pick up as well, wouldn’t you agree? Source

More after the jump.

The second season of V will premiere on ABC, Tuesday, January 4th at 9 pm. The show did decently in it’s time slot last season, and managed to snag quite a following. I am not a huge fan of the show but will admit it has some well done visual effects. If you fell in love with the series last season, then get yourself ready for season 2 and feel free to sound off below and let us know why we should be watching it. Source

Cynthia Watros (Lost, House) is going to be guest starring on an episode of Desperate Housewives. She’ll be playing a friend of Bree’s who ends up on a double date with her and Keith (Brian Austin Green). For some more slightly spoilerish details on the role Watros will play head over to EW and check it out.

That’s all for tonight folks. Sleep tight, and dream well. I know I will. 🙂
