TV News – 10/25/10

Can you believe this is the last week in October? Is everyone ready for Halloween? We are in the process of moving, but I promised my daughter that we’d be moved before it was trick or treating time. She’s going to be a dalmatian, which really isn’t surprising seeing as she loves dogs. Well, now that you are all bored with my regular life details, let’s look at TV news. πŸ™‚

FX has ordered a new live-action comedy series, Wilfred. The series stars Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings), and Jason Gann () and is based on the Australian series of the same name. Wood plays “Ryan, an introvert who struggles to find social and professional happiness, until he meets ‘Wilfred’ (Gann). Everyone else sees Wilfred as a dog, Ryan sees him as a man dressed in a dog suit.” Gann co-created and played Wilfred in the Australian original. I’m actually looking forward to seeing this series because I am a fan of Elijah Wood and this is the first time he’ll star in a regular TV series. Expect Wilfred to hit your television in the summer of 2011.

More after the jump.

Seeing as it’s only 2 months to Christmas Day as of today (scary isn’t it? πŸ˜‰ ), here’s some cheery seasonal news to make you Gleek out. The cast of Glee is releasing a Christmas album, and it hits stores on November 16th, three weeks ahead of their Christmas episode which airs on December 7th. The track list has some great songs, including a special duet with Kurt (Chris Colfer) and a special someone. Head over to Ausiello to read the full track list but beware the duet with Kurt could spoil who his boyfriend is going to be. Source

ABC has picked up full seasons of Better with You and No Ordinary Family, as well as ordered more episodes of Detroit 1-8-7 and Brothers & Sisters. I’m really happy about No Ordinary Family because it’s a cute family show, and I will also admit to finding Better With You amusing and worth watching. That said I’m surprised that Detroit 1-8-7 got additional episodes ordered when the ratings have been so low. What pick up are you the most happy about this season?Source

Kristin over at E!Online has a fabulous spoiler chat post today, and it is DELICIOUS! There are details on Glee, Dexter, Smallville and so many more. Click the link if you dare, but remember SPOILERS AHEAD.

James Marsden (X-Men), is going to be guest starring in an episode of the ABC hit comedy, Modern Family. This role is going to be one of my favorite, because the cutie is going to be playing a sexy neighbour of Cam & Mitchell’s who makes them drool every time he takes off his shirt. What can I say? I’m a sucker for an adorable topless actor, color me female. πŸ˜‰ Source

That’s all for tonight, don’t forget to tune into CBS at 10/9 c and watch my new favorite, Hawaii Five-0.
