Tonight is the series premiere of Wreck Chasers on the Discovery Channel at 8/7c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 8:30/7:30c. Philadelphia is the only city in the United States that allows ‘wreck chasing,’ a multi-million dollar business in which tow truck drivers compete to claim wrecks and collect cash. There are more than 200 registered towing companies and as many as 2,000 trucks prowl the streets of the City of Brotherly Love at any given time, making Philly tow-trucking one of the most competitive and high stakes jobs in America. Patrolling the sometimes dangerous and gritty streets of Philadelphia day and night requires discipline, attitude and teamwork. Working hand-in-hand with police and rescue crews, the wreck chasers encounter high speed chases, witness serious accidents and are in constant competition with rivals. With miles of territory and strict boundaries, the business of wreck chasing is anything but ordinary.

Tonight is the series premiere of My Big Friggin Wedding on VH1 at 9/8c. The producers of Jersey Shore have done it again, capturing the over-the-top personalities of five East Coast couples, two from Long Island and three from New Jersey, as they each plan the wedding of their dreams. In this ten episode docu-series, cameras will follow the stress and drama of five couples and their families as they prepare to tie the knot… or not. Throughout the weeks leading up to their nuptials, these couples will battle their families, friends and each other to work out all the details of their “big day.” Whether the drama is about smoke machines and lasers at the reception or signing a last minute prenuptial agreement, these couples will stop at nothing to throw the most “friggin” over-the-top party of their lives – but at what cost to their relationships?

Tonight is also the series premiere of Mario Lopez: Saved By the Baby on VH1 at 10:30/9:30c. From the hottest parties to the dirtiest diapers, VH1 is giving viewers a fly-on-wall look into the life of one of Hollywood’s former sexiest bachelors as he makes the transition to super dad. Mario Lopez’s (Saved By the Bell) bachelor days came to an end two years ago while performing in a “Chorus Line” on Broadway, where he met and fell in love with dancer Courtney Mazza. In VH1’s new series, Mario and girlfriend Courtney will let cameras follow as they transition from dating to co-parenting. From sonograms and baby proofing to vacations with the in-laws, Mario and Courtney will begin this exciting and sometimes overwhelming new chapter in their lives with America watching.

Finally, tonight is the season finale of Top Gear on BBC America at 9/8c.

Tonight is the series premiere of Megadrive on MTV at 10:30/9:30c. They take the most extreme vehicles on land, sea and air and push them to their limits. And then they push them further. Hosted by fresh faced comedian and horrible driver Johnny Pemberton, MegaDrive follows Johnny as he learns to use and abuse some of the biggest, craziest, and most dangerous vehicles the world has ever seen while simultaneously becoming best friends and worst enemies with the vehicles’ owners. From Miami to Maine, to Mexicali and back, Johnny crisscrosses the country in search of the ultimate ride while trying not to get his butt kicked or killed. Whether it’s an M-1 battle tank, a jet powered semi truck, a fighter jet or hover craft, Johnny will find a way to drive it, break it, hump it, or all of the above.

Tonight is also the series premiere of The Benson Interruption on Comedy Central at 11:59/10:59c. Doug Benson is bringing his comedic antics to the airwaves with his new show The Benson Interruption. Based on the popular live show of the same name, The Benson Interruption features comedian Doug Benson sitting on stage and interrupting his friends’ performances. Why? Because the show isn’t called “The Benson Sits Quietly and Doesn’t Bother Anyone,” that’s why. Benson’s guests – some of the biggest names in stand-up and improvisational comedy including Adam Carolla, Nick Swardson, Patton Oswalt, Brian Posehn, Thomas Lennon, Mary Lynn Rajskub and Eugene Mirman – will share stories and talk about what’s going on in the world and Benson will chime in whenever he darn well pleases.
