If We Controlled Your Remote… 11/18/10

Anyone have a coat I can borrow? It’s getting COLD here in Kansas! Today is Thursday, though, so maybe I can have Seeley Booth over to warm me up? *grin* Mmm, Bones… Anyway, let’s see what we all recommend for you tonight!

Jenny’s Choice

One of the best comedies on TV right now is tonight’s The Big Bang Theory, and while I would normally tell you to watch my favorite show, USA’s Burn Notice, Sheldon and the gang get my vote tonight. It consistently makes me laugh more than any other comedy on TV.

On tonight’s episode, Penny manages to blindside Leonard into a lie about their relationship when her dad comes to visit her; Howard, Raj and Bernadette pull an all-nighter, playing games and drinking wine while looking through a telescope. Keith Carradine guest stars as Penny’s father.

Mark’s POV

Today, dear readers, I’m going to to take control of your remote and take you guys to Beverly Hills. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, that is… The latest installment in the ever growing Bravo franchise brings us what we’ve been missing in the latest entries into the franchise canon: All American, mindless fun. These women don’t have dark pasts involving a rap sheet longer than a Hummer Limousine nor do they lie about their finances and crash governmental parties. The Beverly Hills Housewives is a breather of fresh air into the Real Housewives brand and they continue to get better every week.

In tonight’s episode, the continuation of the battle between former child star Kyle Richards and Camille Grammer might reach a boiling point as the ladies feud boils over and affects the other Housewives, namely Kyle’s sister Kim, who ruffles the feathers of another Housewife, Taylor Armstrong. Do I smell a catfight? A man can only dream…

Megan’s Choice

Last week’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy was fantastic. I loved Alex’s arc, especially when he came up with a genius idea to save the baby. That said, I also loved when Avery punched Alex over and over again for his behaviour with April. This season of Grey’s is just getting better and better.

On tonight’s episode, the attendings are at Joe’s Bar celebrating Derek’s clinical-trial grant, and Meredith and Alex are left to deal with a 9-year-old with postsurgical complications and his very demanding mother. Tune in to ABC at 9/8c to see how they handle the stress. Learn where to find episodes online of Grey’s Anatomy @ Clicker.

Community is an unsung hero of a show that sadly not enough people are tuning in to. With funny and intelligent humor that can wiz by you if you’re not paying enough attention, you are really missing out on a winner of a show if you’re not tuning in weekly to this underdog.

Tonight’s episode revolves around Dean Pelton making sure that he checks all class schedules. He ends up discovering that Jeff has listed a class that actually doesn’t even exist! Smart cookie Jeff, wish I thought of that when I was in college! Meanwhile, Abed and Troy decide that they’ll build an extremely elaborate blanket fort.

Boys will be boys in tonight’s episode of Community at 8/7c on NBC! Learn where to find episodes online of Community @ Clicker.
