If We Controlled Your Remote… 11/30/10

Is anyone else already listening to Christmas music? I’ve got a playlist of my Christmas music playing right now, including the Glee Christmas album, some country, some Pop Idol, and a few other odds and ends. For some reason, the day after Thanksgiving, I had this itch to pull out my Christmas music, and I’ve been enjoying it since. Anyway, enough about music. 😉 There’s a lot on TV tonight, but not a lot of the more popular shows. It’s a big night for Glee, so we have a double helping of that, as well as a couple of other great shows to recommend, so let’s get to it. Lisa is up first with the 1st of our 2 Glee picks. – Jenny

I’d first like to thank Megan for allowing me to take the Glee reigns this week, I really appreciate it, because it’s for a good cause. Last year on this very day, someone special in my life passed away. My grandmother. Glee is a wonderful show that we really bonded over, and last Thanksgiving, we spent the evening watching old episodes of the show and singing along to the songs. It was really appropriate that the day before my grandmother’s funeral, I watched Glee and found the words I wanted to say about her. I don’t want this to be a depressing post, of course, but I just want to share that Glee can bring all ages together, and it is a show that will always remain special to me.

Tonight’s episode of Glee centers around New Directions and seeing if they’ll have their shining moment at sectionals where they face the Warblers (with a brand new member in Kurt) and the Hipsters. Also, Dr. Carl and Emma grow closer, much to the dismay of a certain Glee club advisor/Spanish teacher (and many fans). Watch an all new episode of Glee tonight at 8/7c on FOX. While it’s obvious that my television will be tuned to Glee tonight, there are other shows on, so I’m going to spare you a triple dose of Glee suggestions. 🙂 One of the best new family shows this season is No Ordinary Family. It has a great mix of adventure, humour and family values.

On tonight’s episode, Jim and Stephanie plan for a romantic evening to celebrate their 18th wedding anniversary, but it doesn’t go as planned. They have to use their superpowers to go up against a serial arsonist. Meanwhile, with their parents out of the house, Daphne and JJ host a poker game. Tune in to see if Jim and Stephanie can prevail tonight at 9/8c on ABC. Learn where to find episodes online of No Ordinary Family @ Clicker.

Sectionals are finally here! After weeks of teasing the big event, Glee will pit New Directions against various competitors tonight, highlighted by The Dalton Academy Warblers and their new addition: Mr. Kurt Hummel.

Get an early look at the latter group singing a Train classic here and remember to visit TV Fanatic soon after the episode ends for the latest quotes, photos and downloadable music from the hour. Enjoy!

Tonight is the 90-minute season finale Sons of Anarchy, and from everything I’ve read, it’s a great conclusion to the 3rd season. It’s been an emotional season so far, with kidnappings, the Feds, pregnancies, deaths, etc etc. Poor Jax and Gemma have really been put through the wringer, and tonight will see some good news and more emotional stuff for both of them.

On tonight’s episode, the club bands together in an attempt to repair some old wounds that have resurfaced, but their task becomes a complicated one because of confrontations against both the Russian mobsters and the federal officers of the ATF.

Don’t miss tonight’s 90-minute season finale on FX at 10/9c. Be sure and let me know if you enjoy it! Learn where to find episodes online of Sons of Anarchy @ Clicker.
