Tonight is the series premiere of The Next Great Baker on TLC at 9/8c. Anyone who’s watched an episode of TLC’s hit series Cake Boss has dreamt of working alongside the Valastro family as they create the most mouthwatering treats on television. And now, there’s a new ‘help wanted’ sign hanging in the window of family’s bakery. Buddy “Cake Boss” Valastro starts his search for the best rising baker in the business in the all-new 8-week competition elimination series The Next Great Baker. In the series, Buddy, along with various family members, put 10 talented pastry chefs through the ringer to earn the title of “Next Great Baker.” At stake – $50,000 cash and a chance to work side-by-side with Buddy at Carlo’s Bakery. Each week, Buddy pushes the contestants’ baking and decorating skills to the limit through a series of increasingly difficult challenges that test their business sense and cake artistry. Someone will be sent packing each week until the Next Great Baker is the last one standing.

Tonight is also the series premiere of The Vice Guide to Everything on MTV at 11/10c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 11:30/10:30c. Basically, everything. And this is that – The Vice Guide To Everything. It’s a series about the absurdity of the modern condition: the most interesting people, news, sub-cultures and rituals on the planet. It’s the stuff you don’t get from the mainstream media but that you absolutely need to know- and won’t stop talking about.

Starting in December and over the course of 11 episodes, the world-renowned and irrepressible chef will be picking his favorite UK restaurants in eight different culinary categories, with the survivors battling it out for the ultimate title of “Ramsay’s Best Restaurant.” After sifting through 12,000 entries, 16 brilliant restaurants are selected for the challenge but only one can be the shining culinary star that takes the title. In order to assess which restaurant can deliver gastronomic perfection, Gordon puts each one through a gruelling series of tests which include secret diners and undercover filming, a load of hungry diners that arrive all at once, and a final nerve-wracking test at Gordon’s eponymous flagship restaurant.
