If We Controlled Your Remote… 1/24/11

As I mentioned on the schedule, I’m really sorry this is up so late! I’ve not been sleeping at night very well the last few nights, so I crashed finally this morning and just woke up. 🙂 Since it’s so late, let’s just jump right in!

I’m so happy about tonight’s TV that I can barely talk! Last week didn’t feature a new episode of Castle, but this week, not only is there a new ep, but it is an important one for the characters, and an AMAZING episode for viewers. I was able to watch the episode the other day, and I’ve been chomping at the bit since for Monday to get here so you guys can watch, and so I can watch again (with my husband, this time!). I will tell you the episode features the case about Beckett’s mother’s murder, and there is so absolutely brilliant episode for Castle/Beckett. If you are a C/B shipper, don’t miss it. 😉

I don’t want to give you the full episode description, because it truly gives away some surprises. Just trust me when I say it’s worth watching. It is one of my top favorite episodes ever.

DON’T MISS the new episode tonight on ABC at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Castle @ Clicker.

My choice tonight may seem a little off for me, seeing as it’s a new show that isn’t getting everyone raving yet. I’m talking about The Cape, on NBC. The Cape is a new series starring David Lyons (ER) as Vince Faraday, an honest cop on a corrupt police force, who is framed for a bunch of murders and is presumed dead. He has to go into hiding, and leave his wife and son behind. Driven by the strong desire and need to be with his family and defeat the evil that has taken over the city, he becomes “The Cape” – his son’s favorite comic book superhero. Armed with a cape that seems to have a life of it’s own, he fights crime and is backed by his merry band of circus freaks. (Yes I’m serious! 🙂 ) It seems a little off the wall, and it is. However, the stories are interesting, and I find the cast amusing.

On tonight’s episode, a tip about stolen money from the Cape prompts Scales to confront his business partner Peter Fleming at a costume party on a train. Meanwhile, the Cape and Orwell learn Max’s gang is planning a heist aboard the train, and Dana and Trip are taunted.

Tune into NBC at 9/8c to see if this show is for you. Learn where to find episodes online of The Cape @ Clicker.

“Keep your friends close and your enemies even closer.” This adage is very apropos for a show like Pretty Little Liars, because these four friends have someone (or is it more than one?) in the form of “A” in common who they sometimes don’t know is friend or foe.

Tonight, as the school gets ready for the dance-a-thon, Aria, Hanna, Emily, and Spencer are distracted from their objective of raising money for the school trip to Washington, D.C. Hanna sets out to find a job in order to help out with her family’s money troubles but finds it isn’t so easy when “A” has a job for her that Hanna may not be able to refuse. Still missing Maya, and desperate to speak with her, Emily enlists the help of the new bad boy at school Caleb. When an important piece of property goes missing, Spencer finds that being in very close quarters with her brother-in-law Ian can be very difficult. Meanwhile, Aria’s former babysitter Simone comes back into town for a surprise visit. What should be a very happy reunion turns sour when Aria finds out that Simone has her eyes set on Ezra.

Hello fellow TV fiends! I’m here today to introduce you to the world of Skins, the controversial show on MTV that has the PTC in a tizzy that makes their attack against Gossip Girl look mundane in comparison. Hell, Skins itself makes Gossip Girl mundane in comparison. The show is about a group of wild teens who have issues more deep than anything broadcast on The CW, and that’s saying something, cause I LOVE The CW. Each episode focuses on one teen in the group with the subplot focusing on one of the other teens ongoing issues. It’s the main plot of each episode that stands out, and tonight’s focal point, Tea, is sure to have tongues wagging tomorrow morning. That is if there isn’t a major PTC induced blackout during the show.

On the surface, Skins is lewd, depraved and a bit much. Peel back that ugly layer and you discover the parties, drugs, and sex are all ways for these tortured teens to deal with the more depraved aspects of their family life. In short, you can’t judge a book by it’s cover, unless you yourself have something to hide.

Skins airs tonight @ 10/9c on MTV and is TV-MA, which means no one under 17 shouldn’t be watching. Learn where to find episodes online of Skins @ Clicker.
