If We Controlled Your Remote… 1/26/11

I’m glad there’s a lot more new television than there was last night. I was not impressed with not having all my favorite Tuesday night shows on last night, but tonight makes up for it. Let’s see what all of us TV addicts think you should be watching. 🙂

I love me some Blue Bloods! Yes, I’m aware it’s another police drama, but it’s not your run of the mill police drama. On one hand, you have the adorable Donnie Wahlberg, who really kicks ass as the tough NY detective, and on the other, you have the esteemed Tom Selleck, who runs not only his own family, but the entire NY police force with ease and wisdom. Trust me, it’s a show worth watching.

On tonight’s episode, Danny investigates when the son of a Russian gangster is killed and Erin is assigned a high-profile corruption case.

Tune into CBS at 10/9c to see the Reagan family catch the bad guys and clean up the streets of New York. Learn where to find episodes online of Blue Bloods @ Clicker.

Jealousy and envy, two words that absolutely go with this show. Because when you look at this tight knit group of friends, you can’t help be jealous and envious of the bond they all share. Not to mention all of the fun and hilarious situations that go down whenever they are together! I’ve never seen a group of friends be THAT involved in one another’s lives and not want to kill one another. Times, they are a-changing!

Tonight, when Travis can’t fix the TV in time for movie night, Jules comes up with a new way of playing hide and seek with her gang of buddies. Meanwhile, Ellie complains that the group always has to do what Jules wants. Andy gets mad at Grayson for talking smack, and Bobby introduces the group to a new friend.

Last week’s Criminal Minds was fantastic, and opened up a huge storyline for Reid. We won’t see any more about his headaches or what they could mean in this week’s episode, but I’m sure it’s something that will be readdressed in the future!

On tonight’s episode, the BAU team hits the road as part of the efforts of tracking down a pair of dangerous young lovers in the midst of an interstate murder spree; Prentiss is shocked when she hears some frightening news from her former boss at Interpol.

If you haven’t been paying attention, Paget Brewster’s (Emily Prentiss) episode order was cut at the same time AJ Cook was fired, so she will not be in every episode. Don’t be surprised if her big part in this episode is the beginning of the end for Prentiss. 🙁

Hope you all enjoyed the State of the Union last night. If you didn’t and turned the channel, don’t feel bad. I eventually had to as well.
Tonight’s pick was pretty tough, given that our local news channels are postponing shows and/or there is nothing else on.I would suggest Off the Map, but I am an episode behind and wouldn’t give a fair reason as to why you should watch. I don’t care for American Idol, so that’s not a good suggestion, so I will have to go with a rerun of a show, but for a good reason.

Tonight, The CW is airing the midseason finale of The Vampire Diaries to prep fans for the new episode that drops tomorrow. If you missed the highly explosive finale back in December, here’s your chance to catch up to the latest craziness going down in Mystic Falls. Werewolves have come to town and are showing just how dangerous they are to the vampire population. Damon is on a desperate search to cure his ailing vamp friend Rose (Lauren Cohan) from her werewolf bite, which is slowly killing her. His opposition? Jules (Michaela McManus), the new werewolf in town who is looking for the whereabouts of Mason Lockwood, who was killed by Damon earlier this season. When these two butt heads tomorrow, be sure to wear shades from to sheild your eyes from the fireworks. Until then, get a preview of what’s to come.

The Vampire Diaries airs at a special time tonight @ 9/8c and will return to its regular time slot 8/7c tomorrow on The CW. Learn where to find episodes online of The Vampire Diaries @ Clicker.
