Tonight is the series premiere of 2 shows. First up is the 2-hour premiere of The Borgias on Showtime at 9/8c. It stars Oscar(R)-winning actor Jeremy Irons as Rodrigo Borgia, the cunning, manipulative patriarch of The Borgia family, who builds an empire through the corruption of the holy Catholic Church and orchestrates a relentless reign of power and flamboyant cruelty. The series begins as Rodrigo (Irons), bribes, buys and muscles his way into the papacy becoming Pope Alexander VI. The series is set in one of the most significant periods in history: the Western Renaissance and the discovery of the New World. Contemporaries of Da Vinci, Michelangelo and the Medicis, the Borgias were controversial and heretical, not so much for performing acts unheard of in their time, but for being better at it than their enemies. Along the way, the family commits virtually every sin in the book and invented more than a few of their own. The show also stars Colm Feore, David Oakes, Derek Jacobi, Francois Arnaud, Holliday Grainger, Joanne Whalley, & Lote Verbeek.

The second is the 2-hour series premiere of The Killing on AMC at 9/8c. The show tells the story of the murder of a teenage girl in Seattle and the subsequent police investigation. Based on the successful Danish television series Forbrydelsen, The Killing weaves together three distinct stories around a single murder, including the detectives assigned to the case and their suspects, the victim’s grieving family, and the local politicians connected to the case. As The Killing unfolds, it becomes clear that there are no accidents; everyone has a secret, and while the characters think they have moved on, their past still lingers.

Tonight is the series premiere of Relapse on A&E at 9/8c. The show follows Gwen Casella, Doug Caine, Patty Powers and Seth Jaffe, four of the country’s leading sober coaches, as they work to save the lives of addicts who have hit rock bottom. More than 50% of addicts who get sober will relapse, and addicts who continue to do so generally need one-on-one help. Sober coaches are former addicts who have found their way back to clean living. They dedicate their lives to giving individualized attention to those who can’t break their destructive habits. The coaches are often a last resort for addicts who have tried other methods to get sober but have failed. In each episode, the coaches, over the course of a week, work one-on-one with addicts to get them through painful withdrawal symptoms, face personal challenges and reconnect with family and friends who have lost hope. For the first time ever, viewers ride along with the sober coaches as they jump into the lives of their clients, forming a bond that is the heart of every episode, and make them face their demons head on.

Tonight is the series premiere of Breaking In on FOX at 9:30/8:30c. This offbeat half-hour workplace comedy is about a high-tech security firm that takes extreme – and often questionable – measures to sell their protection services. Created by Adam F. Goldberg (Fanboys) and Seth Gordon (Four Christmases and the upcoming Horrible Bosses), the series centers on a team of uniquely skilled oddball geniuses hand-picked to work for a manipulative mastermind. It stars Christian Slater (The Forgotten), Bret Harrison (Reaper), Odette Yustman, Alphonso McAuley, & Trevor Moore.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Extreme Couponing on TLC at 9/8c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 9:30/8:30c. The show follows along as savvy shoppers plan and plot their way to unbelievable savings. It introduces viewers to America’s most extreme “super couponers,” sharing why they are so driven by the deals.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Glamour Belles on Lifetime at 10/9c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 10:30/9:30c. This new unscripted reality series takes a peek behind a small town Tennessee pageant gown shop and its colorful employees. It will follow the humorous drama that surrounds Joann’s Gowns in Union City, Tennessee, where girls from throughout the country hope to purchase the perfect dress that will help lead them to the biggest pageant crown. Led by owner Paige Burcham Carlton, Joann’s experts help transform their stable of customers into modern day princesses with a healthy dose of Southern hospitality, hilarity and honesty that can be only found at the venerable store. Behind the rhinestones and ruffles, the unique cast of characters who work at Joann’s includes its flamboyant store manager Jared Hamlin, brash assistant manager Nikki Williams, naive salesgirl Brooke Beachum, melodramatic seamstress Stephanie Sergerson and the store’s original owner JoAnn Burcham, Paige’s outspoken mother.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Tori & Dean: Storibook Weddings on Oxygen at 10/9c. The eight-episode series follows America’s favorite married couple as they set out to give couples a once in a lifetime experience. Combining Tori Spelling’s party-planning flair with husband Dean McDermott’s bring-it-on attitude, the show takes one lucky couple’s wedding from ordinary to extraordinary. Spelling turns the bride-to-be’s dreams for a beautiful event into a reality, while McDermott helps the groom-to-be navigate those sometimes murky wedding waters. Tori and Dean are helping couples create their own special day. Whether it is an Arabian nights or pug themed event, couples today want to make a personal statement at their wedding.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Workaholics on Comedy Central at 10:30/9:30c. Just because you’ve left college doesn’t mean you can’t take the party with you. For three post-grad pals trying to make their way in the real world, the revelry continues all day and night, whether they’re in their office cubicles grinding out a paycheck or back at their house partying it all away! Blake Anderson, Adam Devine and Anders Holm star in this newest half-hour scripted series. From the minds of the hilarious and irreverent Internet sketch group Mail Order Comedy, Workaholics is a single camera comedy featuring three friends who work together as telemarketers from 9 to 5 and live together from 5 to 9. Dress codes, deadlines and waking up before noon are not things these guys are used to. They do their jobs and sometimes they even do them well, but they show up late, leave drunk and always live for the day – even if they don’t know what day it is.

Finally, tonight is the season finale of Off the Map on ABC at 10/9c.

Tonight is the series premiere of CMT’s Next Superstar on CMT at 9/8c. The search is on as five men and five women fight for the title in CMT’s latest competition series. Hosted by Thea Andrews (Top Chef Canada, ESPN, Entertainment Tonight), in each episode of the ten episode series, CMT will search to find America’s next great country star and will open the door for undiscovered singer/songwriters who think they have what it takes to make it in the country music industry. The show will allow the world to see every triumph and every set-back unfold weekly as each contestant will compete while living together in a house in Nashville, providing a rare and revealing inside look at the all ensuing drama that can take place when musical adversaries live and compete together.

Tonight is also the season premiere of The Singing Bee on CMT at 8/7c.

Finally, tonight is the season finale of five shows. First up is the finale of Who Do You Think You Are? on NBC at 8/7c.
