Tonight is the series premiere of Human Planet on the Discovery Channel at 8/7c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 9/8c. First came an unforgettable journey across the world’s greatest habitats. Then viewers were brought nose-to-nose with Earth’s wildest creatures. Now, the makers of Planet EarthLife reverse the spotlight to focus on a species closer to home: humans. From oceans to jungles to deserts, the awe-inspiring new six part series is a majestic portrait of people’s incredible ability to survive and thrive in our planet’s most extreme environments. Four years in the making, Human Planet tells the story of the complex, profound and sometimes challenging relationship between humankind and nature. The series was filmed in high definition in more than 70 locations to capture the most diverse and in some cases, never-before-seen stories of human endeavor. From the frozen Arctic to steamy rainforests, and from tiny islands in vast oceans to parched deserts, people have found remarkable ways to adapt and survive in the harshest environments possible. The show is narrated by Mike Rowe (Dirty Jobs).

Tonight is also the series premiere of Khloe & Lamar on E! at 10/9c. This is the latest “Kardashians” spin-off, which follows the couple and their semi-permanent houseguest Robert, Khloe’s brother.

The last series premiere tonight is The Dance Scene on E! at 10:30/9:30c. When the curtain rises and the lights shine on some of music’s biggest stars, she’s the one woman you don’t see in the spotlight. Yet Laurieann Gibson’s blood, sweat, and tears are obvious everywhere on stage. This acclaimed choreographer and creative director has worked with A-listers from Lady Gaga to P. Diddy to Alicia Keys, making her one of the most powerful women in music today. Helmed by Ryan Seacrest Productions, The Dance Scene follows the lives of Gibson and her team of aspiring dancers and choreographers, (aka Team Boomkack), as they tear up the dance floor preparing for a variety of A-list performances around the world. Whether it’s dancing with Katy Perry at a USO event, or performing in Keri Hilson’s latest music video, Gibson demands perfection from her performers, her team and herself. Grab your backstage pass for a look inside this exclusive and high energy world of dance and witness what it really takes to survive on stage.and in Laurieann’s studio when she challenges her crew to “dance for your lives, muffins!”

Tonight is also the season premiere of River Monsters on Animal Planet at 10/9c, and the season finale of Secret Millionaire on ABC at 8/7c.

Finally, don’t miss Sara Rue (Rules of Engagement, Less Than Perfect) and Barry Watson (7th Heaven) on the ABC Family original movie, My Future Boyfriend, at 8/7c. P-A-X-497/341, aka “Pax” (Watson), a curious young man from the well-ordered but loveless future, travels to present day New Orleans in search of romance novelist Elizabeth Barrett (Rue) – whose book he has come upon during an archeological dig in the year 3127. Hoping Elizabeth can explain the concept of love to him, which is now nonexistent in his time, Pax embarks on an adventure filled with new discoveries. Elizabeth introduces Pax to life in the year 2011, filled with love, music and of course, destiny. When Pax doesn’t return to the future by the given deadline, Bob (Fred Willard), his fellow scientist, travels back in time to find him. Meanwhile, as Elizabeth helps Pax learn about love, she ends up confiding in her colleague, played by Valerie Harper, about her own upcoming “surprise” engagement.

Tonight is the series premiere of The Paul Reiser Show on NBC at 8:30/7:30c. The show stars Reiser as — Paul Reiser. It’s been a few years since his hit TV series went off the air. Since then, he’s been enjoying the quiet life at home with his lovely wife, Claire (Amy Landecker, A Serious Man), and kids and generally minding his own business, writing and producing television but enjoying life out of the spotlight. Getting him into trouble — and into adventures — are a group of new “friends,” most of which he didn’t choose, since they’re the husbands of his wife’s friends and the dads of his kids’ classmates. Thrown together by circumstance, Reiser and his cohorts, including Jonathan (Ben Shenkman, Angels in America), Habib (Omid Djalili,The Infidel), Fernando (Duane Martin, All of Us) and Brad (Andrew Daly, MADtv), form an unlikely comradeship — and a pretty lame basketball team.
