If We Controlled Your Remote… 5/2/11

If you’re anything like I am, you flipped through channels like crazy last night, trying to find one that would confirm the news you learned on Twitter (which is where you get ALL your news! heh). The man behind the worst attacks on American soil is dead. My husband and I watched for over an hour, until finally seeing the President speak and confirm that yes, Osama Bin Laden was dead, killed when our guys invaded the compound (mansion…damn…) he was living in. So before you see what we think you should watch tonight, join us in thanking every real life “John Casey,” “Sydney Bristow,” “Annie Walker” & “Auggie Anderson,” and all the other men and women who proudly serve our country every day, those who have given their lives to make this world a safer place. When you see someone in uniform, stop and tell them thank you. I do.

I’m soooo excited about tonight’s TV, because there are 2 episodes on that I’ve been looking forward to for months. If you’re a fan of Castle, you might have heard a while back about Beckett and Castle going to L.A…Well, tonight, we finally get to see that! The show is gearing up to some major shiznit going down at the end of the season, and while I won’t get into that, because I know not everyone enjoys spoilers like I do, I know that every episode between now and then is going to be important.

On tonight’s episode, Beckett investigates the shooting death of someone once close to her and believes the suspect has fled to Los Angeles. She follows the clues to the opposite coast, with Castle along for the ride. The cast of “Heat Wave” is enlisted to help solve the case, and Castle begins to doubt Beckett’s motives. There are some big guest stars this episode, including Gene Simmons (legendary rock star of KISS) as himself, Dominic Purcell (Prison Break) as a local businessman who may have a connection to the murder, D.B. Sweeney (Jericho) as a detective in Robbery Homicide who questions Castle and Beckett about their rogue investigation, and Jason George (Off the Map, Grey’s Anatomy) as an entrepreneur with a connection to the murder case. We also finally get to meet Justice Gamble as Ochoa (Esposito in the movie), Ryan Deal as Raley (Ryan in the movie)!

Don’t miss what is sure to be a fantastic episode tonight on ABC at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Castle @ Clicker.

Predictable is my middle name. ๐Ÿ™‚ I think you should be watching Hawaii Five-0 tonight. It’s not just an awesome crime show because of the story lines, but the character development, as well. I love the way we’ve been brought into the lives of the team, but it’s also hard, because we hold our breath every time they get into a dangerous position. Although every time they get into a dangerous position, my boyfriend, Steve (Alex O’Loughlin), saves the day. ๐Ÿ˜‰

On tonight’s episode, it’s the worst kind of overexposure, when world-renowned photographer Renny Sinclair (Rick Springfield) is murdered while on assignment in Hawaii shooting the annual swimsuit edition of a top sports magazine. Danny, who has to interview each of the shell-shocked models, thinks this might be Five-0’s best case ever.

Tune in to CBS at 10/9c to see if you think this is the best case ever as well. ๐Ÿ™‚ Learn where to find episodes online of Hawaii Five-0 @ Clicker.

This season of How I Met Your Mother has really shown the maturity that all of the characters have grown into. From Lily being ready for motherhood, Marshall quitting his evil corporate job and his father dying, Ted finally working towards adding to the New York skyline, and Barney meeting his biological dad, to Robin taking a chance on a research job at her dream network. We’ve seen our group of friends change so dramatically over the years, and as we move towards the season finale, we’ll see that maturity level grow even more. We also will inch towards the wedding that’s been highly teased about, as we’ll supposedly find out who the groom is at the end of this season, with the bride being shown next.

Tonight, Lily and Robin try to force Barney and Marshall to make up after an awful argument, while Ted plans a weekend getaway with his girlfriend, Zoey (guest star Jennifer Morrison).

I love Chuck. Not just the show, but the character, as well. It’s such a cute concept, and the cast is honestly one of my favorites on TV. Zachary Levi as Chuck, Yvonne Strahovski as Sarah, Adam Baldwin as Casey, and Joshua Gomez as Morgan all make a fun, effective, if not a little unconventional, spy team. I’ve loved Ryan McPartlin (who plays Captain Awesome, Chuck’s brother-in-law) for years, and he and Sarah Lancaster, who play Chuck’s sister Ellie, are simply too adorable together, especially with their new baby. The addition of Scott Krinsky and Vik Sahay as Jeff and Lester are the perfect doofuses, and Julia Ling as Casey’s daughter/Morgan’s girlfriend ties Casey and Morgan together in such a great way. Chuck is seriously worth the watch, and it needs our help. Please, watch it live tonight if you can, and don’t flip the channel. Show the network and the advertisers it belongs on our televisions! As you watch, tweet! Show your support to the cast and creator, @JoshSchwartz76.

On tonight’s episode (which I’ve been looking forward to for a while!), Chuck’s bachelor party gets out of hand when some uninvited guests arrive. Chuck and Sarah put aside spy work to have a weekend of debauchery, but Awesome’s plans for Chuck’s big night don’t go quite as expected. Meanwhile, Ellie’s investigation into her father’s computer leads to a life-changing discovery. Ray Wise (Reaper) guest stars.
