If We Controlled Your Remote… 5/3/11

Last night was a little slow for television, but tonight more than makes up for it! In fact, tonight is so jam packed that a couple of us have decided to voice our opinions more than once! Why? Because we can! 😉 Also, take the time to welcome Jamie back today to help us out with this busy night of television.

Tonight brings us another new episode of Glee, and I’m super excited. Last week’s Lady GaGa-centric episode was one of the best of the season in my opinion, but mostly because Kurt (Chris Colfer) is back at McKinley!! I’m not sure where this is going with Santana and Karofsky’s relationship, but as long as Kurt isn’t getting bullied and he’s rocking his great outfits again, I’m game! 🙂

On tonight’s new episode, Sue takes control of the formerly dormant school newspaper and prints incendiary stories. Meanwhile, April (Kristin Chenoweth) returns and tries to persuade Will to take off with her; and surprising details about Sam’s home life are exposed.

My first pick tonight is the original NCIS. I’ve been looking forward to this episode for awhile now, because it’s all about Tony and his history. We see him before he joined the team, as a detective in Baltimore. I love Tony, so I’m really excited to get more of his back story!

On tonight’s episode, Tony learns that his former partner appears to have been the latest victim of the deadly Port-to-Port killer, and the experience moves him to revisit his old days as a detective in Baltimore, including his first encounter with Gibbs. Scott Grimes (ER) guest stars as Detective Danny Price, Tony’s former partner.

If you haven’t been tuning in to Body of Proof, you’ve really been missing out! ABC has finally found themselves a hit medical drama full of a fun, funny, and smart cast with chuckle-worthy and insightful writing. Dana Delaney is amazing, she is so dynamic with her portrayal of Megan Hunt! She can be smarmy and sensitive one moment, and the next, she can be tough and straight forward. You never know which side she is going to play, and which side you’re going to be hit with! Jeri Ryan is a great counter part as she is level headed, strict, and no nonsense Kate. Partner these two ladies together with interesting and unique storylines, and you’ve got a hit!

Tonight, a father is found stabbed to death in his home in the Philadelphia suburbs, and Kate takes a consulting role in a case with Megan’s ex-husband.

I know that we’re all getting sick of reality shows, especially singing shows, but The Voice is a new breed of singing show. The artists are so incredibly talented, it blows you away, but the best part is watching the judges (Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine) fight over which team the artists will join. I love Blake and Adam, but I find Christina annoying and whiny. I do not enjoy listening to her.

On tonight’s episode, the blind auditions continue, and the judges continue to battle it out to get the artists they want on their teams, to build the most talented teams. I’m already hoping for either Adam or Blake’s team to win, but we’ll see if that changes after tonight.

Tune into NBC at 9/8c to decide which team you’re going to get behind. Learn where to find episodes online of The Voice @ Clicker.

Please tell me you’ve been watching Raising Hope! It’s one of the funniest shows on television right now, and it is always a must see. Greg Garcia has really hit comedy gold, again, with Raising Hope. What is not to love about a slacker teenager raising the daughter he had with his serial killing girlfriend, who died in the electric chair? On top of that, Martha Plimpton and Garret Dillahunt as the parents?! Oh wait, there’s more! CLORIS LEACHMAN is the grandma! If Charlie Sheen hadn’t worn out “winning,” I’d add it here with a ton of exclamation points!

On tonight’s episode, Burt gets caught being a flirt. Virginia is not pleased, to say the least; however, it does spark a family experiment with flirting. Let’s be honest, Jimmy could use the practice, since he’s such a mess around Sabrina. On top of that amazing plot line, Jimmy and Sabrina compete against each other to be Barney’s favorite employee. Plus, there is always MawMaw (adding a splash of crazy to any situation.

Tune in to FOX at 9/8c to see if the Chance family can flirt better than “How YOU doin?” Learn where to find episodes online of Raising Hope @ Clicker.

My second pick tonight is NCIS: LA. Like Megan, I’m hard pressed sometimes to figure out which of the two shows I like more. I love each of them. Part of my enjoyment of NCIS: LA is the character of Marty Deeks. Eric Christian Olsen is so cute, and Deeks is just damn adorable. lol I love how he irritates Kensi, but is a damn good cop, too. And I recently read some great stuff about tonight’s episode. If you are interested, check out the spoiler by clicking below.

From EW.com: The May 3 episode is going to be awesome because not only does it delve deep into Deek’s twisty backstory, but it also finds Deeks undercover in a way we’ve never seen before. “[Kensi] has never seen him be intimate with a woman before — not in real life and not undercover. She’s confronted for the first time with seeing him in a big, big kiss with his past lover, and it’s interesting how she’s able to react to that. She has to keep her cool,” says [Daniela] Ruah [Kensi]. But for Olsen, the best part of the episode was seeing Deeks go to a “darker place” than we’ve seen before, and subsequently “how Kensi navigates his fall.”

Also, Ausiello reported the following: We’ll meet Marty Deeks’ undercover persona in early May and the dude’s kind of a scumbag. Also, I hear things will heat up between Deeks and Kensi, although it may be some time before a first move is made.

On tonight’s episode, Deeks must take on an old alias that he is fond of in order to protect his best friend and chief informant from a criminal group that wants him dead.
