If We Controlled Your Remote… 5/6/11

It’s Friday, thank goodness. It was kind of a LONG week, but I’m hoping it’ll be a pretty good weekend. What about you? Do you have plans? For me, we have to start making lists and getting things ready, because on the 31st, my kiddo is going with a friend & his grandparents on a tour of the southwest US. They’re going to go to the Grand Canyon, a couple of national parks, etc. He’s never had the chance to do anything like this, so even though we’re nervous that he’s going to be gone without us or any of our family for 12 days, we’re so thrilled for him. Anyway, it’s a good night tonight on TV, which will hopefully lead into a good weekend for all of us! By the way, if you’re a fan of the Suite Life series on the Disney Channel, don’t miss tonight’s SERIES finale, where the kids (do they LOOK old enough to graduate high school?! lol) graduate! Now, let’s see what we think you should watch! 🙂

Jenny’s Choice #1

I feel like a mouthy wench, but again tonight, I’m going with two shows. There is just so much on, how can we NOT? My first pick tonight is the season premiere of Flashpoint. If you don’t know anything about the show, it’s Canadian, and a police drama depicting the emotional journey into the risk-filled lives of cops in the Strategic Response Unit (which, I think, is like the Canadian version of a SWAT team in the US). It’s really great, and has a fantastic cast, including Enrico Colantoni, who was the father on Veronica Mars.

On tonight’s episode, a man that is charged with killing his own baby puts his own life at risk and stops at nothing to get the real truth.

Don’t miss the season premiere on CBS at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of Flashpoint @ Clicker.

The CSI franchise gets redundant to some, but CSI: NY has a strong storyline on the go right now. I have always loved the cast of CSI: NY, especially Mac (Gary Sinise), and this storyline is superb.

On tonight’s episode, Mac and his ex-partner (Peter Fonda) are targets of gunfire that rips through the crime lab, and they uncover a vendetta that is 17 years in the making.

Tune in to CBS at 9/8c to see if Mac can solve this case as quickly as normal. Learn where to find episodes online of CSI: NY @ Clicker.

With the football season, and the benches, heating up, Coach Taylor has his hands completely full. One minute he thinks he has his team in check, the next it’s utter chaos. Can his season come together, and his team? Tami has her hands full as well with lack of money and interest from the school system. There are a lot of kids who have seemingly been left ignored, and now that Tami is the East Dillon counselor, she aims to make up for all of that lost time. Remember though that these are the Taylors, so when times are tough, the tough get going!

Tonight on Friday Night Lights, Coach Taylor has to mediate when tensions erupt in the locker room, and the Lions tack on an all new player. Buddy deals with the trials and tribulations of fatherhood, while Tami counsels a troubled student.

My second pick tonight is the new episode of Supernatural on the CW. Last week, we learned SOMETHING is going on with Cas, and this week, it looks like we’ll learn more. We’re also gearing up to the season finale, when Sam’s health, even his life, will most likely be in jeopardy. I mean, that wall in his head HAS to go kaput sometime, right? This show never fails to entertain me, and having such good looking guys to stare at doesn’t hurt. 😉

On tonight’s episode, Castiel tells Sam, Dean, and Bobby about the war in Heaven and how he and Raphael became enemies, but Bobby believes that Castiel is hiding something from them.

Blue Bloods is moving up my list of must see TV, and I’m okay with it. There’s something special and different about this crime show, and I believe it’s the wicked cast. Donny Wahlberg kicks ass as the hardcore, dedicated detective Danny Reagan, who sometimes lets his temper get the best of him, but always has the best of intentions. Tom Selleck demands attention as the police commisioner and he’s a great father and leader for the family. If you’re not watching this amazing new show, you should be.

On tonight’s episode, family friends of the Reagans are murdered, and their drug-addicted son is the chief suspect. Meanwhile, Jamie’s gun is stolen, and he believes he is being set up for investigating the secretive Blue Templar police organization.

Tune in to CBS at 10/9c to see if Jamie can save the day. Learn where to find episodes online of Blue Bloods @ Clicker.
