I haven’t said Thank God It’s Friday and meant it this much in a darn long time. This has been an almost completely, utterly boring week for TV, with only a few bright spots, like TNT’s new Franklin and Bash and NBC’s Love Bites. Starting next week, the summer shows begin to come back, including one of my very favorites, A&E’s The Glades. Jason, @theTVaholic, will be guest posting with us next week to help cover the new episodes, so that’ll be great. Until then, check out what we think you should be watching tonight. 🙂
I really enjoy the Canadian drama, Flashpoint, which airs here in the US on CBS during the late spring/early summer. I haven’t looked it up, but I *think* the Strategic Response Unit is like the Canadian version of a SWAT team here in the US. If I’m wrong, someone please correct me. That’s just the best comparison I have, I think. Regardless, the show is always high action, intense, and very dramatic, and it keeps me on the edge of my seat almost every episode.
Tonight, Jules finds herself mired in jeopardy when she becomes trapped in the same restaurant as a gun-wielding man, and Team One must try and calm the gunman down while uncovering the knowledge that he is being used as a weapon against a mosque.
Check it out tonight on CBS at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of Flashpoint @ Clicker.

I’ve always enjoyed hearing urban legends, stories that are concocted to scare and teach lessons. Now, I enjoy watching the show Urban Legends on Syfy. Every episode, we see three crazy stores that are so surreal, we are anxious to believe them. Each story is presented as fact, in a documentary style, but the twist is that one of the stories IS completely true. The viewers are asked to decide which story is the real one, and it really makes for great television. The show is narrated by David Hewlett from Stargate.
On tonight’s mid-season finale, a police office investigates a series of murders committed by a female serial killer, a man repeatedly survives life-threatening situations, and an unhappy Dutch couple finds an interesting solution to the problems in their adulterous relationship.

It’s amazing that a show like Friday Night Lights can get such acclaim from their viewership, but none from their peers. It’s a shame, too, because there were so many powerhouses that really catapulted this show to stardom. You need to tune in to enjoy, savor, and relish the best of the rest of the all new episodes currently airing on NBC. It’s the only way to really keep the spirit of Dillon, Texas, and the characters we’ve come to love and cherish alive. Texas forever!
Tonight, Coach worries that he is losing his grip on the Lions, while Tami thinks one of her students may be neglected at home. Vince’s arrogance alienates his teammates, and Becky enters a pageant.
