We’re almost halfway through June, and I, for one, can hardly believe it! The summer TV season is starting to get under way, and I’m looking forward to having some new television to watch. Not to mention every day that passes brings me closer to Comic-Con! 😀 *Squeal* Okay, squealing done, let’s look at what you should be watching.
I love the supernatural shows, and I am totally digging the new MTV show, Teen Wolf. The story is actually quite intriguing, and the actors are promising. I adore Colton Haynes from his days on The Gates, so I was happy to see him on a new show. Speaking of actors I’m happy to see on a new show, another one is Tyler Hoechlin, who used to be on 7th Heaven, and I admit to having a small crush on him. Now he’s killing it as the werewolf mentor to our lead character, Scott (Tyler Posey). Overall, it’s shaping up to be a yummy show.
On tonight’s episode, Scott is excited for his first date with Allison, until it becomes a confusing group date, with Lydia and Jackson in tow. Meanwhile, a mysterious animal attack occurs, putting Stile’s dad, Sheriff Stilinkski, on high alert.

Last week was the series premiere of Switched at Birth, and the show excelled in ratings and reviews! There is still plenty of time to get on this show’s bandwagon. The show is about two teenagers who find that they were switched at birth. One teen, Bay, comes from money in a two parent household, along with a brother, while the other, Daphne, comes from a household with a single mother in a working class neighborhood. Oh yeah, not to mention, Daphne is deaf. This is not your average family drama. It’s out of the box, and ABC Family continues to showcase so many captivating and innovative shows!
Tonight, conflict looms between the two polar opposite mothers, when Kathryn questions Regina’s parenting style. Meanwhile, Regina, Daphne’s mother, refuses to join the Kennish’s in their efforts to sue the hospital that made this life changing mistake of switching the girls at birth. This leaves Kathryn wondering what is this stranger hiding? The two girls struggle to adjust to their life together and Bay begins seeing Ty – a boy from Daphne’s old neighborhood. Daphne goes on a date with Liam and is totally unaware that he’s Bay’s ex-boyfriend. Also, Bay may have met the one guy who can keep up with all of her rebelious ways, while Daphne realizes that dating a hearing person may be more difficult than she expected.

There really isn’t much on for me tonight, aside from a couple of shows on the History Channel and Food Network. The sole network show for me tonight is MasterChef, and that’s why it is my pick. Last week, we saw two great nights of “auditions,” so to speak. There are so many great chefs competing this year. It’s already leaps and bounds above, compared to last season’s contestants. Sure, last year had a few that were very good, but I believe we saw a lot more positive comments and rave reviews last week than we did last season. It’s shaping up to be a great season, that’s for sure!
On tonight’s episode, the contestants in the Top 100 are on the edge of their seats as they await the results of the judges’ further winnowing, and after careful deliberation, the judges announce which amateur chefs have been chosen to represent the Top 38.
