So far, this has been a great week for television, especially with all the new shows starting. To be honest, I’m just trying to get through this week so that I can sink my teeth into the new season of True Blood that starts on Sunday! 😀 Until then, let’s see what else you should be watching.
It’s not an original choice, but it’s my choice! So You Think You Can Dance is bringing us the top 20 AGAIN this week. Deja Vu? Not exactly. Last week, the judges couldn’t make up their minds who should go home, because they were all so good, so they decided to give them all another week and eliminate 2 girls and 2 boys this week, instead. Interesting approach, and I hope it pays off for them.
On tonight’s episode, the Top 20 take the floor again to try and earn some outstanding votes.
Tune in to FOX at 8/7c (actually, at 8:10/7:10c because of the address by President Obama) to see how the dancers shape up this week. Learn where to find episodes online of So You Think You Can Dance @ Clicker.

Even though I had some issues with last week’s episode of Hot in Cleveland (I think they went kind of stupidly over the top with the whole Amish storyline, specifically in terms of the Amish bar. oi.), I still enjoyed it. The show is just damn funny, and it keeps me coming back week after week. I have no idea how they will resolve the Joy/deportment storyline or the Elka/jail storyline, but I’m looking forward to seeing them both!
On tonight’s episode, entitled “How I Met My Mother,” Joy receives a surprise visit from the son that she gave up for adoption when she was a teenager. Also, the women begin to worry for their safety after discovering that Victoria’s pen pal is out of prison and is on the way to pay them a visit.

Tonight, I’ll be watching Franklin & Bash. This is a light, fun lawyer show, with two main cast members I’m happy to see back on my TV—I was a fan of Mark-Paul Gosselaar’s prior legal show, Raising the Bar, and I may be the only one who even remembers it, but I still miss Breckin Meyer’s short-lived sitcom, Married to the Kellys. Although, off-hand, I couldn’t tell you which is Franklin and which is Bash. So far, this show has been a great mix of comedy and interesting cases of the week. The secondary characters, such as Pindar and Carmen, are also fun and interesting and have been worked into the rest of the story well. Franklin & Bash keeps getting better each week, so I will continue to make this one of my must see shows of the night.
In tonight’s episode, “Bro-Bono,” Peter represents an old acquaintance of Jared’s in a legal dilemma; Karp and Hanna’s history prevents them from working together on a divorce case. This should be a lot of fun as Harry Hamlin is guest starring, and I’m expecting a lot of L.A. Law references!

I was excited about last week’s series premiere of Fran Drescher’s new show, Happily Divorced. I’m thrilled to say it didn’t disappoint. Her voice may be irritating, but her character just reached out, grabbed you, and shook you until you couldn’t help but laugh. When she found out her husband of nearly twenty years is gay, her reaction was just priceless. The best line had to be the one that went like, “You’ve never been with a man. Trust me, it’s not that good!” I can’t wait to see more of this show!
Tonight, Elliot begins to think that Fran spends too much time in Peter’s affairs. Fran plans a romantic night for her and Elliot, but Peter’s night spent drinking turns into an awkward situation for the three of them in the morning.

The hottest new procedural show on TV just changed your weekly Wednesday night viewing! Franklin & Bash is the cure for your Wednesday night blues and is just the right kick to get you through the rest of the week. Mark-Paul Gosselaar has rebounded in a big way and provides the right amount of yin to Breckin Meyer’s yang. As Franklin and Bash, these two fellows spell double trouble in the courtroom and hilarity for your TV screen!
