Tonight is the series premiere of Curiosity on Discovery Channel at 8/7c, followed by a 30-minute ‘After Show’ Special at 9/8c. The show brings the ‘I wonder?’ moment to television with a unique array of provocative subjects such as Robin Williams studying what drugs do to our bodies, Samuel L. Jackson surveying how the world might end, and Brendan Fraser digging deep to study what really lies beneath Egypt. In addition to Williams, Jackson and Fraser, hosts include actor, auteur director Eli Roth testing the nature of evil, Academy Award(R) winner Morgan Freeman investigating the possibility of a parallel universe, Maggie Gyllenhaal exploring why sex is fun, Lost and Avatar star Michelle Rodriguez asking how we might survive an alien attack, Morgan Spurlock seeing if living as a primitive caveman would actually improve our health, MythBusters’ Adam Savage testing if we can really live forever and award-winning filmmaker and Dirty Jobs’ Mike Rowe revealing the hidden live organisms that call our bodies home.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Hillbilly Handfishin’ on Animal Planet at 10/9c. Self-proclaimed hillbillies and experienced hand fishermen Skipper Bivins and Trent Jackson give city folk a taste of their lifestyle as they triple-dog dare thrill-thirsty adventure seekers to come on down to Oklahoma and catch catfish with their bare hands and feet! In each of the 12 hour-long episodes, city slickers try this type of fishing — known as noodling or handfishing — for this first time and submerge themselves in murky waters to try and catch 40-lb catfish. They must watch out for snakes, beavers, muskrats and snapping turtles that take over abandoned catfish holes as homes of their own. The experience might be uncomfortable, completely foreign and downright terrifying, but it promises to alter the lives and positively affect each newly crowned noodler long after the last morsel of deep-fried fish is gone.

Tonight is also the season finale of 4 shows. First, it’s the 2-part season finale of Falling Skies on TNT at 9/8c & 10/9c. Click here for premiere information

Tonight is the series premiere of Dirty Money on Discovery Channel at 10/9c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 10:30/9:30c. The old adage that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure is brought to life in the new show. In a fascinating look at what happens when a passion becomes a lifestyle, Dirty Money brings together the tale of two brothers, a few dumpsters…and an uncanny knack for creating must have collectibles. John and Jimmy DiResta live and breathe flea markets. With the help of John’s son Matthew (AKA “Rat-Boy”), the DiResta brothers live by the mantra, “Find it. Fix it. Sell it!” Their treasure map? The Big Apple. The DiResta brothers set out scouring New York City – from the dumpsters of the Lower East Side to flea markets scattered throughout the five boroughs to various antique shops and collectors. Their treasure? Items they can completely renovate and reinvent to sell for profit. Whether it’s transforming a tattered old kids bicycle into a chain-saw powered, Evel Knievel inspired bike or taking a pile of wood and building a beautiful, one-of-a-kind Manhattan skyline bench, these brothers know how to create something out of nothing. Or at least out of a pile of junk.

Tonight is also the season premiere of Gordon Ramsay’s F Word on BBC America at 9/8c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 10/9c. There’s also the season premiere of Top Shot on History Channel.
