If We Controlled Your Remote… 10/25/11

Another of my favorite nights of TV is Tuesday. I’m a CBS junkie, so a lot of my Tuesday night is taken up with 3 hours of CBS dramas. There is a lot more on than those shows, though. We are here to tell you what we think you should watch, so read on!

Tonight is the season finale of Top Shot. It has been a great season, and overall, I’ve been thrilled with how the season has gone. In fact, now that Jake is gone, I’ll be ok with whoever wins. I’m rooting for Dustin, because he’s a nice, young, enthusiastic guy—and a Christian Camp Director, to boot!—but whoever wins, I’ll be good. We’ve seen a lot of different weapons and challenges, and I have no doubt tonight will be just as good!

On tonight’s finale, the Final Four marksmen set their sights on the $100,000 prize and the title of Top Shot. In a series of intense challenges, one shooter attempts an unprecedented shot with the AK-47, and contestants are eliminated one by one until there are only two left standing. The final challenge pushes two marksmen to their limits and a new champion is crowned.

See it tonight on History Channel at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Top Shot @ Clicker.

There’s something fabulous about watching a show where the cast just clicks perfectly, and that’s what you get every time you watch NCIS: LA. This is a cast that was meant to be together, and combined with the awesome storylines, you can’t help but be sucked in week after week. I always love the sexual tension between Deeks and Kensi, but how great was she on Hawaii Five-0 last night? Too bad she can’t date Steve, because she’s going to be dating Deeks. 😉 I’ve also been loving the way they’ve been giving us more in depth looks into the lives of our favorite agents.

On tonight’s episode, “Lone Wolf,” a former Navy intelligence officer is murdered, and the agents discover his double life and a possible threat to national security.

I want to squee. Ducky is finally getting some lovin! We got to meet McGee’s grandmother a few episodes ago, and this week, Ducky has a new lady love, played by Cheryl Ladd (from the original Charlie’s Angels)! It’ll be so good to see him in a relationship. I mope that even if her character doesn’t stick around long, their relationship continues in the background. Last week, Ziva really identified with the mother of a Lebanese family, who had supposedly stowed away on a cargo vessel. Turned out the father had been keeping secrets from his wife and one of their sons, and Ziva helped her realize she couldn’t hide behind him and support him in his terrorist activities any longer. It was a tough thing for Ziva, because it reminded her so much of her own family.

On tonight’s episode, “Thirst,” an NCIS case changes from accidental death to murder when evidence reveals that a Navy lieutenant died of forced over-hydration. Meanwhile, Gibbs meets Ducky’s new love interest.

Check it out tonight on CBS at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of NCIS @ Clicker.

Flashpoint is always a solid bet when it comes to fabulous entertainment that leaves you on the edge of your seat. You get the police drama, the close knit team, and of course, the relationship drama. Where are Jules and Sam going with this relationship and how will it affect the team? I don’t know, but as long as they stay together, I’m a happy camper. Raf is fitting in ok with the team, and on last week’s episode, they had to support him after he shot and killed one of the plane hijackers. It’s interesting to see the team dynamic now that Wordy is gone and Raf is there. Thank goodness Ed didn’t leave, too!

On tonight’s episode, “Cost of Doing Business,” Team One thinks they have a simple case of robbery on their hands, but things get complicated when the victim sabotages the rescue. This takes the case in a whole new direction, and now they have to learn about international express kidnapping in order to help free a company CEO.

On last week’s episode of Sons of Anarchy, Juice was so overwhelmed with guilt and the pressure from the cops, he climbed a tree and hanged himself. However, once the screen went to black, we heard a cracking sound. While I seriously doubt the branch snapped and Juice is alive, I kind of hope that is what happened, because I really liked that character! Meanwhile, Tara received a death threat, SAMCRO members were present when the Mayans were attacked, and Bobby called for a “no confidence” vote on Clay. It’s about time! How could any of them really have thought that getting into the cocaine business with the Mayans was a good idea?!

In tonight’s episode, “Family Recipe,” a club vote gets sidetracked when SAMCRO is forced to deal with dangerous external threats.

The early auditions are done, and the contestants have been cut down to 17. Those 17 will now sing not only for the judges and an audience, but for everyone. It’s live tonight, and we’re going to see if all the judges mentoring has paid off. I’m a little interested to see how Dexter fairs against so many great singers, but at the same time, I’m excited to see the sexy Leroy Bell sing again. For a 60-year-old man, he is incredibly sexy.

Tune in to FOX at 8/7c for the special two and a half hour episode, and see if any of these contestants really have what it takes to win $5 million dollars. Learn where to find episodes online of The X Factor @ Clicker.

I’m a big fan of cop shows, and I enjoy watching Unforgettable. Aside from Carrie’s unfailing (well, aside from her sister’s murder) memory, there’s nothing that really is terribly different about this one, but I still really enjoy it. Carrie and Al have a romantic history and still have plenty of chemistry, and I hope that one day, we’ll get to see them act on it. If not, I’m ok with that, as long as they stay friends, because she needs his support.

On tonight’s episode, “Friended,” Carrie and Al’s investigation into the murder of a hard-partying heiress takes an unexpected turn when they discover that the woman apparently didn’t exist until 18 months earlier.

Tune in tonight on CBS at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Unforgettable @ Clicker.

I hope that the following go home:

    Boys: Brian Bradley

I actually like The Brewer Boys and Phillip Lomax :p

I forgot it’s two girls that need to go home to get it down to 3 for each type–so I’m hoping for both Tiah and Simone to go.
