If We Controlled Your Remote… 12/26/11

We survived! That’s right, you made it through the family get together, the crazy kids, the screaming, but most of all, the love. Hard to believe we’re moving towards New Year’s already. I am looking forward to 2012, especially because it means there is new television. 🙂 Tonight has a few new things to watch, so check our sugguestions.

After the holidays, it’s nice just to kick back, relax, and watch my Next Great Baker. Last week’s Christmas-themed cakes were beautiful, I am really enjoying how many strong female competitors there are this season. I enjoy the strong women on this season of the show and really hope they can keep it up—with the exception of Minerva. I find her super aggravating and can’t wait for her to go home.

On this week’s new episode, it’s one of the most fun episodes of this series—the engineered cakes; the cakes need to spin, smoke, move and spark.

To see if they manage to get rid of Minerva this week, tune in to TLC at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Leverage @ Clicker.

Brenda Lee solved the murder of a hit and run accident of a young college student on last week’s The Closer episode. She put away the police commissioner’s wife, who was an alcoholic and would never get any help for her problems. The police commissioner decided to step down to take care of his daughter, and his wife vowed to get help for her drinking. As we reach the winter finale mark, we reflect on the upcoming series finale. Can Brenda end the reign of Raydor looking over her shoulder and finally get her career back on track?

Tonight, on “Silent Partner,” a murder related to Turell Baylor’s death occurs, and Brenda looks for help from a businessman who has old ties to the neighborhood. Also, Brenda’s lawyer and the Baylor family lawyer face off in court.

I love every episode of Rizzoli & Isles, which is why it made my Honorable Mentions list for best shows of 2011. I’m SO sad that tonight is the season finale! It seems like the season just started. 🙁 Last week was a really sad episode, with a young girl watching her mother die right in front of her after being stabbed with huge scissors. It was really heartbreaking, as the girl learned the hard way that her birth father that she didn’t know about killed her mother so he could kidnap her. As for tonight’s episode, I’m freakin excited, because Billy Burke (The Twilight Saga movies) returns as Gabriel Dean, the FBI agent that had a flirtation with Jane at the very beginning of the series. I have been hoping the show follows the book series in terms of Jane’s romantic life. Could this be the start of that? I don’t know, but I’m looking forward to finding out! Also, click on the picture to the left to see a bigger version. Check out how absolutely TINY Angie Harmon looks there! I mean, I knew she was small, but wow… lol

On tonight’s episode, “Burning Down the House,” Jane and Maura investigate a warehouse fire; Gabriel Dean hopes to rekindle his relationship with Jane.

Don’t miss it tonight on TNT at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Rizzoli & Isles @ Clicker.
