If We Controlled Your Remote… 2/3/12

TGIF, everyone! I am so happy this hectic week is coming to an end, because it’s been one of those weeks all around. That said, tonight is going to be an amazing night of television with so many new episodes of our favorite shows returning. Let’s kick back, watch the new episodes, and get ready to enjoy our weekend. 🙂

What could be better than a twisted fairytale to start the night? Nothing. I have been loving Grimm since the beginning, and the last episode was very good. The way we finally saw some repercussions for Monroe with his fellow creatures was intriguing. What’s going to happen now that Monroe has decided he’s going to work with Nick regardless of what the others think? Who knows, but whatever it is, it’s going to be epic.

On tonight’s episode, “Organ Grinder,” Portland’s homeless youth start to go missing. Nick uncovers a deadly black market supplying the Grimm world with human organs for all types of elixirs. As the investigation heightens, Nick and Juliette befriend a pair of homeless siblings, Hanson and Gracie, whose friends have gone missing. Daryl Sabara (Spy Kids) and Hannah Marks (Necessary Roughness) guest star.

To see if Nick can help stop this mess before it gets worse, tune in to NBC at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Grimm @ Clicker.

Before this season started, I was worried that having Michael and Nikita together and both gone from Division would mean the show wasn’t as fun and exciting or that they wouldn’t have the chemistry they’d had up til then. Fortunately, I was wrong. Aside from the misstep with Michael’s son, it’s been fantastic. Having Percy and Amanda working against each other has been fun, although if they put all that effort into getting Nikita, Michael, and Birkhoff, it would definitely benefit them! lol On the last episode, Sean finally caught up to the gang and tried to shoot Nikita and Michael in an effort to protect his mother, but Alex tackled him, saving their lives. They tied him up and were able to convince him they weren’t the bad guys. He still is dedicated to protecting his mother, but the blinders seem to be completely gone now. We’ll see how long that lasts!

On tonight’s episode, “Clean Sweep,” Percy has his Guardians hold the members of Oversight hostage until Amanda agrees to his demands. If she doesn’t, the Guardians will shoot all the members of Oversight and release a deadly gas inside Division that will instantly kill everyone, including Amanda. Nikita is torn between letting the enemy fall and saving the innocent lives inside Division. Meanwhile, Sean is frantic to save his mother from Percy’s clutches and turns to Nikita, Michael, and Alex for help.

Kyle’s Choice

This season of the The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret has been so great. The show has gotten crazier and more wince-inducing. Last week, Alice discovered that Todd got her the job at La Molecule—however, she still doesn’t know that he did so by saying she was mentally retarded and only had a day to live. However, this didn’t really matter, as the restaurant was shut down after Todd accidentally released a strain of Megathrax on the patrons. Meanwhile, Todd learns he was adopted and then somehow finds himself a part of a bachelorette party with strangers. And Dave had fun messing with Brent and Doug as they searched for Mountford, his true identity.

The use of Jon Hamm playing a version of himself in this past week’s episode was so hilarious. This show is just so insane and off the wall that I find it so much fun to watch. I hope we get some resolution to this whole Mountford mystery in the next two weeks. I really wish they had more than 6 episodes a season!

In tonight’s penultimate episode of the season, “The Crime Scene, the Storyteller, and the Sanctimonious Tower of Morality,” Todd’s escapades land him in prison, specifically in the wing for sex offenders, and he gets chummy with his cellmate. Meanwhile, Alice goes on the lam when the police spot her with the unauthorized liquor license given to her by Todd.

Megan’s Choice #2

It’s been a couple of weeks since we were treated to a new episode of Blue Bloods, and that is simply not right. My Friday nights are not nearly as interesting without the Reagan family on my TV, kicking ass and solving crime. I’ve seen tonight’s episode, and it is full of great moments. There are a lot of moments for Danny with his family and for the rest of the family and their personal choices. Don’t miss it.

On tonight’s episode, “The Job,” Danny and his family run into trouble when Danny hits a man with his car who is fleeing from a gunman. His family gets caught in the crossfire when Danny fires his weapon at the gunman. Frank deals with the 9/11 guilt from the impending loss of a friend whom he worked alongside at Ground Zero. F. Murray Abraham guest stars.

Another of my favorites on Friday is CSI: NY. I love the cases and stuff, but my favorite part of the show is the cast and their chemistry. Each person has a great rapport and relationship with everyone else, and they are all unique. The last episode was really, really good, and I was really kind of shocked when I figured out the daughter had indeed been involved. As always, I loved the screen time Danny and Lindsay shared, as well as Mac and Jo. I’m such a shipper! lol

On tonight’s episode, “Brooklyn ‘Til I Die,” the CSIs investigate when a role-playing game turns lethal, with one player falling victim to a bona fide killer and the other kidnapped and held for ransom.

See it tonight on CBS at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of CSI: NY @ Clicker.
