If We Controlled Your Remote… 3/20/12

Yay for finally feeling better after the mother of all colds. The whole family is healthy (*knocks on wood*), jobs are going well, and I get to meet an online friend in real life at the end of the month. All that AND there’s great new TV tonight? Fantastic! So read on to see what great stuff we think you should be watching tonight. 🙂

There was a lot on tonight, including some great comedies, but my pick had to go to Justified. This show has been ramping up this season. Winona is pregnant and decided she couldn’t handle being with Rayland. (I’ve never liked her, but this kind of pissed me off. Whatever.) The newest big bad, Neal McDonough’s Robert Quarles, is an evil son of a bitch (although he’s much more outwardly scary, unlike Margo Martindale’s Mags Bennett last season – that woman was quiet but deadly and would scare the crap out of me if I ever met her in real life). And you just can’t help but love Boyd Crowder. He’s so not a nice guy, but you just have to feel for him…like when he was arrested for something he hadn’t done. lol And when it looked like Ava was turning over the drug-addicted hooker, I was surprised, because I thought for sure she actually had a heart underneath all the crap…and then I was proven right when she shot Delroy instead of turning Ellie May over to him. And then, of course, we dealt with Raylan being set up for Gary’s murder (it couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy, frankly, but whatever. LOL). So… yeah, I’ve been enjoying this show a lot this season.

On tonight’s episode, “Guy Walks Into a Bar,” Raylan struggles to keep Dickie Bennett in prison while contending with an increasingly violent and unpredictable Quarles. Boyd’s Harlan election comes to a head.

Check it out tonight on FX at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Justified @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’m also going to be watching/DVRing Last Man Standing, NCIS, NCIS: LA, Raising Hope, Cougar Town, 19 Kids & Counting, Breaking In, Chopped, Top Shot, & Unforgettable.

When we last saw the team on NCIS: LA, they were trying to help Kensi deal with the past surrounding her father. It was messy, but as always, our team did well. Now, after a little hiatus, we get to see our favorite crime fighters again. I have missed seeing this sexy cast, haven’t you? Grab your drool rag and kick back to watch the team solve crimes and look hot doing it.

On tonight’s episode, “The Dragon and the Fairy,” the team investigates a shooting outside the Vietnamese Consulate just prior to an international conference at the venue that the Secretary of the Navy is schedule to attend.

To see if they can save world peace, tune in to CBS at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of NCIS: LA @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching New Girl, NCIS, Unforgettable, Last Man Standing, Breaking In, and The River.

Tonight is the season finale of The River. Last week, the crew explored an abandoned research facility, where they discovered that some experiments had caused a zombie-like epidemic. Tess and Lincoln finally found Emmet, in a coma-like state inside a cocoon that had kept him alive and isolated from the outbreak. They cut him down and made a run for the boat while being pursued by zombies. The crew thought they were safe and back out to sea, but they soon found the ship under attack by zombies. Emmet Cole awakened and joined the fight.

While the series has been hit or miss for me, I absolutely loved last week’s zombie episode. It was so suspenseful and filled with action. Though I’m always up for a good zombie story. I’m looking forward to see how they wrap the season (and possible series) up tonight.

In tonight’s finale, “Row, Row, Row Your Boat,” the violent death of a crew member plunges the Magus into chaos and forces the others to live in fear, while Jahel ignores her father to desperately call for spiritual help.

See it tonight on ABC at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of The River @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching Cougar Town, Raising Hope, New Girl, Breaking In, Chopped, and the season finales of Southland and Switched at Birth.

Lisa’s Choice

Last week on Southland, Ben tried to help the daughter of a prostitute, and Lydia and Ruben investigated the murder of a gang member who was killed defacing a rival’s tag. Also, Tang faced further inquiry into her shooting of a young boy who turned out to have a plastic gun.

On the season finale, “Thursday,” Tang prepares to move to another precinct to start her Sergeant position. Lydia is pressured to make a decision about her police duties during her pregnancy. Meanwhile, Ben tries to track down a prostitute.

Hit the pavement with the LAPD at 10/9c one last time this season! Learn where to find episodes online of Southland @ Clicker.

Tonight, I am also going to be watching Dance Moms, Raising Hope, and New Girl!
