Tonight is the series premiere of No Kitchen Required on BBC America at 10/9c. The show follows three chefs as they are dropped into the most exotic and remote places on earth. There they must work with the locals to hunt, fish and forage for ingredients to create locally-inspired meals that will be judged by the communities. The three fearless chefs are award-winning New York restaurateur Michael Psilakis, first ever Chopped Grand Champion chef Madison Cowan, who has roots in London, Detroit, and Jamaica, and New Zealand Chef Kayne Raymond. The trio leave the comforts of their kitchens as they are dropped into ten locations around the world including Dominica, New Zealand, Belize, Fiji, Chiang Dao – Thailand, Koh Lanta – Thailand, Hawaii, New Mexico, Louisiana and Florida.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Dance Moms: Miami on Lifetime at 10:30/9:30c. The show goes behind-the-scenes at Miami-based Stars Dance Studio, where the school’s owners and renowned contemporary dance instructors Victor Smalley and Angel Armas teach, train and choreograph a diverse group of talented girl and boy dancers as they strive to become the best in the sport of competitive dance and tomorrow’s stars. Born and raised in Miami, Victor has become well known throughout the dance world for his cutting-edge choreography, with his first big break as a finalist on season six of the hit show, So You Think You Can Dance. Angel was born in Sagua La Grande, Villa Clara, Cuba. At the age of 12 his passion for dance ignited when he began taking lessons in ballroom dance and now his choreography is in high demand by local TV shows, concerts, and artists.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Savage U on MTV at 11/10c. This show follows columnist, author, and co-creator of the “It Gets Better Project,” Dan Savage, and his producer Lauren Hutchinson as they travel to college campuses across the country, taking students’ questions and offering a crash course on relationships, responsibility, sex, love and life. Each college they touch down at has its own campus culture, and Dan and Lauren dive deep into those worlds while exploring the “taboo” topics that people don’t talk about – and the ones that everyone wants to talk about. From learning how to avoid the “friend zone” or build a committed relationship, to safely navigating online dating and one night stands, to kinks and fetishes, no topic is off-limits and every question is driven by the students themselves. Each half-hour episode, set at a different college, is anchored by an open Q&A session in which Dan and Lauren address anonymous audience questions candidly, but with just enough heart and humor to make the topics a little less intimidating. Dan also provides personal, in-depth advice in one-on-one settings with students who are struggling with deeper relationship issues.

Tonight is the series premiere of Best Friends Forever on NBC at 8:30/7:30c. This new comedy is about old friends, new beginnings and awkward situations. Jessica St. Clair (Bridesmaid) and Lennon Parham (Accidentally on Purpose) star as Jessica and Lennon, best friends who live on opposite sides of the country with the men in their lives. When Jessica is overnighted divorce papers, Lennon convinces her to return home to Brooklyn and back into the apartment they used to share. It doesn’t take long for the girls to fall into old habits: movie marathons and late night girl talk sessions – none of which is good news for Lennon’s live-in boyfriend, Joe (Luka Jones, Upright Citizens Brigade). Joe tries to be understanding but begins to feel like a stranger in his own home. Meanwhile, Jessica is trying to get used to her new single life. Will she have to start buying matching sets of underwear again? Also, reconnecting with old friends like Rav (Stephen Schneider, Happy Endings), who may or may not have feelings for her, is more complicated than she thought. All of Jessica’s new efforts are met with the critique of the friends’ precocious nine-year-old neighbor, Queenetta (Daija Owens), who is not shy about doling out advice on their life choices.

Tonight is the series premiere of Scandal on ABC at 10:02/9:02c. Everyone has a secret… and Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) has dedicated her life to protecting and defending the public images of the nation’s elite and keeping those secrets under wraps. Revered and feared at the same time, Olivia, a former communications director to the President of the United States, left the White House to open her own prominent crisis management firm. She is hoping to start a new chapter in her life – both professionally and personally – but she can’t seem to completely cut ties with her past. Olivia’s former boss, President Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn), and his chief of staff, Cyrus Beene (Jeff Perry, Grey’s Anatomy), are never far, and it soon becomes clear that Olivia’s clients aren’t the only ones with secrets. Olivia’s accomplished staff includes Stephen Finch (Henry Ian Cusick, Lost), a womanizing lawyer who’s trying to settle down; Harrison Wright (Columbus Short, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip), a slick litigator with his fair share of secrets; Huck (Guillermo Diaz, Mercy, Weeds, No Ordinary Family), a hacker extraordinaire with a CIA past; and Abby Whelan (Darby Stanchfield, NCIS, Mad Men, Jericho), an investigator who has a love/hate relationship with Stephen. Although Olivia and her team specialize in fixing the lives of other people, they can’t quite seem to fix the problems closest at hand – their own. Guest starring are Joshua Malina, Wes Brown, Liza Weil, Bellamy Young, & Leslie Grossman.
