If We Controlled Your Remote… 4/3/12

I was MIA yesterday because my daughter was up all night with stomach issues. What a night. 🙁 She’s feeling a bit better, and now I just need to get through my parents visiting with my sanity intact. (Ok, as much sanity as I can muster.) Tonight, I’ll kick back and watch some television to help me cope. 🙂

Megan’s Choice

Last night on The Voice, the contestants took to the stage, and what a night it was. There were plenty of hits and just as many misses. Sera Hill got to dance with a bunch of shirtless male dancers – um…hells yeah! They were delicious. Oh, her performance of Drake’s “Find Your Love” was fierce as well. 🙂 My favorite of the night was Erin Willet. She was ridiculously awesome. I had chills when she sang, but she also looked so strong and female on that stage – pure gorgeous.

On tonight’s episode, we find out which 4 contestants are going home.

Tune in to NBC at 9/8c to see if your votes counted and your favorite gets to stay. Learn where to find episodes online of The Voice @ Clicker.

I’ll also be watching and DVRing New Girl, Breaking In, and Body of Proof.

If you saw last week’s episode of Body of Proof, you know how crazy and scary it was. I loved how Megan stood up to the CDC guys in order to keep her team on the case. Poor Peter was so broken up about Dani’s death. In fact, the whole team was. Of course, Peter was rather rude to Ethan, who has had feelings for Dani since the beginning. And then Kate pricked her finger from an infected victim and didn’t tell anyone… Stupid, stupid Kate. She collapsed right at the end of the episode, with CDC Officer Charlie Stafford and Megan rushing to her aid. Will she be ok? We’ll learn tonight on the 2nd part!

On tonight’s episode, “Going Viral, Part II,” as the death toll continues to rise, the team needs to move quickly to figure out how to treat this virus and, more importantly, who is spreading it. Luke Perry & Dean Norris guest star.

Don’t miss it tonight on ABC at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Body of Proof @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’m also going to be watching/DVRing Raising Hope, The Voice, Breaking In, Chopped, Justified, No Kitchen Required, & Top Shot.

Tonight, BBC America kicks off a new cooking competition series called No Kitchen Required. Each week, the three chefs will be dropped off in some exotic location, where they must create locally-inspired meals that are judged by the communities. The chefs may be familiar to regular Food Network viewers. Chef Madison Cowan was the first-ever Chopped Grand Champion, Chef Michael Psilakis has appeared on Iron Chef America and Ultimate Recipe Showdown, and Chef Kayne Raymond has also appeared on Chopped. And to balance out all the testosterone, the host is Dr. Shini Somara, a mechanical engineer/model/ballerina/mountain climber! I think this will be an interesting series – you get the survival aspect of the contestants having to hunt and forage for their ingredients, and then a cooking instruction/competition as the chefs learn how to prepare these ingredients in the same way the locals do. So it is like a multicultural cooking lesson/competition – like a Survivor meets The Amazing Race meets Chopped.

In tonight’s episode, “Dominica,” the chefs visit the island nation of Dominica in the Caribbean Sea.

See it tonight on BBC America at 10/9c.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching Body of Proof, Raising Hope, New Girl, Breaking In, Chopped, and The Voice.

Lisa’s Choice

Last week on New Girl, Jess went on another date with the super handsome Russell (guest star Dermot Mulroney), the father of one of her students. It went severely poorly, and Jess did not take this well at all. Nick’s college roommate, who is now a professor (played by Martin Starr), tried to help Nick get over Julia by taking him to a college party. Nick got completely wasted and freaked out, but had a lot of fun while doing so. Winston told his girlfriend that he thought they should have some space right before she left for a bachelorette party. After he talked it over with the guys, he quickly changed his tune since he learned that it meant she could see other guys. In an effort to try to keep his relationship intact, Winston took Schmidt’s car and drove it to Mexico to try to meet up with his girlfriend. When it came to border patrol, they unlocked the trunk and found something quite striking – naked Schmidt and Cece!

On an all new episode, “Secrets,” when Jess learns Cece has been keeping a secret, their friendship gets put to the the test, and Winston can’t handle being the only one who knows the secret. Meanwhile, Nick asks Schmidt for dating advice.

Comedy abounds tonight at 9/8c on FOX! Learn where to find episodes online of New Girl @ Clicker.

I am also watching Raising Hope, Dance Moms, and Breaking In tonight!
