If We Controlled Your Remote… 5/18/12

It’s been kind of a long week for me, so I’m VERY glad it’s Friday! What about you? On a positive note, the networks have all come out with trailers and/or clips for most of their new pilots and some of them look AMAZING. There are others that…well, not so much, but I’m excited for a good number of them! We’ll be watching the screeners as they become available to us and will post our thoughts on the pilots themselves, so keep an eye out! For now, check out what we think you should be watching tonight. 🙂

In what was a surprising move for most viewers, I think, The CW renewed Nikita for next season. I was thrilled because I love this show. It’s been ramping up to tonight’s season finale, and I can’t wait. On last week’s episode, the gang figured out Percy’s weapon, and the President bowed down to Percy’s demands. Nikita had to sneak into Division alone when they discovered the ladder in the silo was gone. Of course things didn’t go smoothly, and when Division guards rushed to where the team was gathered, Nikita told Michael to go ahead and detonate the motherboards they had been after. He had no choice but to do it, not knowing whether or not Nikita was clear of them. Also, Sean and Alex were in a shoot out with Division Alpha team, so we don’t know the fate of either of those two, either. Of course we know that Nikita can’t die…but can the show go on if Sean or Alex are killed? Sure. It wouldn’t be nearly as good, in my opinion, but it could… Eek! I hope it won’t have to!

On tonight’s season finale, “Homecoming,” Nikita and Michael invade Division in an attempt to capture Percy. Alex and Sean get caught in a deadly gunfire battle with the U.S. Marines, and Ryan must convince the President of the United States not to destroy Division until he is sure Nikita and Michael are safely out of the building, but the President is eager to end Percy’s reign. Meanwhile, Birkhoff asks Sonya for help, and Nikita corners Percy in his office, but he pulls out one final trick that may cost her the battle.

Gear up for an exciting finale tonight on The CW at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of Nikita @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’m also going to be watching/DVRing Grimm & Common Law.

One of my favorite new shows of this season is Grimm, because not only does it have an amazing cast, but it has some fabulous twisted fairytales. It’s been an amazing first season, and I’m sorry it’s time to wrap it up. Last week’s episode looked at the myth of Big Foot, and it was an intense episode. Lots of mystery, and we saw Juliette really start to question what’s going on. Hank was becoming more and more suspicious as he saw yet another creature change in front of him. The world as they know it is becoming a messy place.

On tonight’s season finale, “Woman in Black,” Nick delves deeper into his life as a Grimm while a trail of grotesque murders reignites the search for the elusive gold coins. The arrival of a mysterious woman in black (guest star Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio) begins to get in the way of Nick and Hank’s investigation as extra precautions have to be taken to ensure their safety. Meanwhile, Nick’s ability to keep his true nature secret from Juliette comes to a tipping point.

To see if the coins are found, tune in to NBC at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Grimm @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching Supernatural, Fairly Legal, and The Ricky Gervais Show.

Last week, viewers were introduced to the dynamic duo of Wes and Travis on Common Law. These Los Angeles Police detectives are dysfunctional with a capital D! After years of working with one another, the two just can’t seem to get along and see eye to eye. So, the department ordered them to seek some couples counseling with therapist Dr. Ryan, who is no nonsense! She tries to assist them with resolving their conflicts and confronting their demons in order to enhance their working relationship. As Dr. Ryan explores their relationship, viewers soon find out that the two are actually birds of a feather professionally. When first we met Travis and Wes, the duo searched for the murderer of a judge’s son.

On an all new episode, “Ridealong,” Travis and Wes investigate a woman’s fall from the balcony of her honeymoon suite.

Double down with the crime fighting duo at 10/9c on USA! Learn where to find episodes online of Common Law @ Clicker.

Tonight, I am also watching Who Do You Think You Are? and Fairly Legal!
