It’s the start of a new week and really…it’s SO much slower this week than we’ve had in awhile. You’ll notice as we go through the week that not everyone is posting every day, and that’s simply because there isn’t always something we all want to watch/recommend on! Megan is getting a break tonight, but she’ll be back tomorrow. There are still a few things on, though, so check out our recs!
Last week’s premiere of Food Network Star was so different and so cool. I loved having the three teams of contestants each coached/mentored by a different master chef/personality. I liked so many of the contestants that I can’t name which team I’m rooting for yet. It’s a close race so far! This is a very different way to do the show, and so far, I think it’s working well. I’m hoping that continues tonight with the second episode.
On tonight’s episode, “NYC on the Go,” after the finalists are divided into three separate teams, they are given tours of various New York City neighborhoods, where they learn about the local landmarks and food. The contestants prepare a dish inspired by their New York district.
Don’t miss the 90-minute new episode tonight on Food Network at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Food Network Star @ Clicker.
Tonight, I’m also going to be watching/DVRing Cupcake Wars, Jesse Stone: Benefit of the Doubt, & the series premiere of Mystery Diners on Food Network.

It’s been a long season on Celebrity Apprentice, and it all comes down to this final task with Clay Aiken versus Arsenio Hall! The two have competed in tasks, made some friends and enemies, raised a lot of money, and it’s time for them to step up their game as high as possible. Donald Trump will name his latest Celebrity Apprentice, and one of these gentlemen will have their past cast aside and be reinvented with their new moniker. With the help, or possibly lack thereof, from their former fellow contestants, one will reign supreme and one will become just another person Donald says “you’re fired” to. Which one will take the crown?
On tonight’s season finale, “And the Winner Is…” the two finalists must work together on a charity event that features ten celebrity performances.

Tonight, I am also watching Mad Men, Bob’s Burgers, Tough Love, and Family Guy!
Tonight, I’m recommending that you let your TV be dominated by a marathon of FOX Sunday animation season finales. First up is The Cleveland Show. When this was first announced, I was a bit skeptical of taking one of my least favorite characters from Family Guy and giving him his own show. However, it has been far from turr-ible, and I have really grown to love this show over the years – especially when they do a musical episode. Next up is the ever-lasting The Simpsons, which I have been watching ever since the Tracy Ullman shorts. I still find it hilarious and will never get tired of watching Homer do incredibly stupid things. It’s also amazing to see who they can get to guest star on the show – and tonight they have Lady Gaga!
After that, it’s Bob’s Burgers, a show that I didn’t care for at first, but after a few episodes, I was hooked. This show is so much fun, and my favorite character is Gene, who says the most outrageous and stupid things. I guess I’m just drawn to the stupid characters! 😉 Finally, we end the night with a special double-episode of Family Guy. This is the show that should have died long ago but was rescued by TV-on-DVD. This show is so much fun, and tonight we get the return of Peter fighting the chicken – this will never get old to me! 🙂
In tonight’s The Cleveland Show finale, “All You Can Eat,” Roberta gives Jr. a makeover, and his new look gives him the confidence to approach a girl he has fancied. She mistakes him for a female, but that’s not the end of their relationship. Meanwhile, Cleveland gets into a snack-food fight.
In tonight’s The Simpsons finale, “Lisa Goes Gaga,” Lisa tries to boost her popularity by ghostwriting positive things about herself on the school blog. The effort fails miserably – until a psychic force tells Lady Gaga (who provides her own voice) that Lisa needs her help.
In tonight’s Bob’s Burgers finale, “Beefsquatch,” Gene upstages Bob during a cooking segment on the morning news.
In tonight’s first Family Guy episode, “Viewer Mail #2,” one mini-episode introduces a British version of the Griffins, a comedian takes over Quahog in another, and a third views the world from Stewie’s POV. And in the season finale, “Internal Affairs,” Joe cheats on the cheating Bonnie; and it’s Peter vs. the angry chicken (again).
Tonight, I’ll also be watching/recording Food Network Star, Game of Thrones, Veep, and The Big C.
