If We Controlled Your Remote… 6/11/12

This past weekend, one of my dearest friends got married to the love of her life in a true fairytale ending style. Thank goodness for waterproof mascara! It was a wedding fit for Once Upon a Time, and I couldn’t be happier for them. Now we move past an awesome weekend (which also included the incredible season premiere of True Blood) and on to a new week of television that is full of so many delicious things to watch that you should really take our advice to heart.

Hell’s Kitchen came out of the gates strong last week, with 2 intense episodes. There are more than enough people to despise on this season, but not nearly enough to like. The men are particularly weak this season, but the women are extra bitchy. Barbie is an incredibly annoying and useless member of the team, but Tiffany, Robyn, and Kimmie all have some serious temper issues. Tiffany, especially. She was a little bit of redneck crazy when she was throwing things around in anger. I’m not sure if the women are going to survive to cook another day if they keep fighting like dogs over a bone, but if they can put their differences aside, I think they will crush the men.

On tonight’s episode, Chef Ramsay once again pits the women against the men for an intense challenge in which they must serve classic all-American fare to some very special diners. While the winning team takes a rewarding and relaxing day trip, the losing team is left behind to clean up the mess.

To see if these chefs can put a lid on the drama long enough to cook, tune in to FOX at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of Hell’s Kitchen @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also watching/DVRing The Bachelorette, Bunheads, MasterChef, and Teen Wolf.

I just have one question for the Eureka writers. Why are they determined to make me dislike Jo at this point in the game? Post-virtual world, she’s been weird, ever since learning that she & Carter were an item in the virtual world. It’s like the writers want us to be pissed off & frustrated this last season so they can’t let us rejoice in the fact that after so long and so much stuff getting in the way that Carter and Allison are together. Of course, Allison hasn’t been a picnic the whole time, either. But last week, Jo was seriously irritating me. I guess I understand why she was so insistent that they help Fargo get past the idea that Holly was alive and help him move on. But to me, it just pissed me off. So after all the craziness last week, we’re left with the question of whether or not they truly saved Holly, and if they did, can they find her and bring her back for real? I can’t see them going through all this just to have her really dead and gone, can you? And from the pictures I’ve seen, it sure seems like she’s back for good. I guess we’ll see!

On tonight’s episode, “In Too Deep,” Carter’s romantic surprise for Allison turns deadly when they’re trapped in a sinking marine lab with time and oxygen quickly running out.

Don’t miss it tonight on Syfy at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Eureka @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching/DVRing The Bachelorette, Hell’s Kitchen, MasterChef, Invention Hunters, Diners, Drive-ins & Dives, & Pawn Star$.

Season 2 of Teen Wolf is off to a thrilling start. Not only is Derek the new Alpha, but there’s also a new werewolf in town, and last week, Scott literally sniffed Isaac out. Allison’s grandfather, Gerard, is back in town, leading the werewolf hunters on a more aggressive offensive. He also managed a hostile takeover to become principal of the high school. Meanwhile, Jackson’s hopes of becoming a wolf were dashed when he discovered that his body was fighting off the infection, Scott was still seeing Allison, despite promising her father it was over, and Lydia wandered around naked in a fugue state. Last week’s episode ended with the introduction of some new creature – what/who could it be? My money is on Lydia…that this is the result of her injuries at the end of last season and what’s been causing her strange behavior.

This series has lost none of the thrills and comedy of the first season. I really like the characters they’ve added this season. The pack is starting to form with Issac and Derek, and it looks like Scott may be forced to join due to the increasing threat of the hunters. I love the addition of Allison’s grandfather, Gerard. I didn’t think it was possible, but Michael Hogan has found an even more bad-ass character to play than Colonel Tigh! Gerard is even scarier and more vicious than the wolves he’s hunting!

In tonight’s episode, “Ice Pick,” Scott tries to keep Derek from creating new werewolves; Argent officially begins Allison’s training; the new creature in town takes another victim.

See it tonight on MTV at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Teen Wolf @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching/recording the Bunheads series premiere, Hell’s Kitchen, MasterChef, and Eureka.
