Yesterday was kind of a long day for me… Sunday night, my 14yo decided he wanted to try staying up all night. Since I knew I’d be up anyway (darn flipped schedule!), I figured why not. I assumed he’d last until maybe 2:00 and then crash. No…he made it all the way to 4:20 before finally conking out on the couch. LOL It was too funny. 🙂 But that meant he slept until 11:00, and since I didn’t fall asleep until 9:30 or 10:00, I didn’t get much sleep yesterday either. Ah well. It was worth it. 🙂 I hope your Monday was great and that your Tuesday is just as good or better…and to help that, there’s some great TV on. See what we think you should be watching!
Last week’s premiere of Rizzoli & Isles was a fantastic continuation of last season’s finale. Gabriel Dean is gone (boo! although that opens the way for the cutie Army guy, who we’re going to see again!), Maura’s father is now locked up and she has some more info on her biological mother…and while things still aren’t right between them, Jane and Maura patched things up a little after the whole shooting. We got to see them take down a dirty cop, which was great, but my favorite part of the episode absolutely had to be Frost. He has grown so much since the first episode of the series, when he was still so green that he was throwing up in the bushes. LOL He’s cracking jokes, making comments, and so much of it just made me laugh. I can’t wait to see how he continues to grow and make me giggle.
On tonight’s episode, “Dirty Little Secret,” tensions continue to mount between Jane and Maura, causing those close to them to be caught in the middle. But they must put aside their differences when they investigate the case of a college student who died in a tunnel. Meanwhile, Frankie Sr. (guest star Chazz Palminteri) returns with news that upsets Angela. Colin Egglesfield also guest-stars.

MasterChef quickly became one of my favorite shows from the moment it premiered, and this season is no different. So far this season, we have met some super interesting people, including a blind woman who cooks beautifully, a husband and wife competing against each other, and so many talented contestants. I love the interactions between Graham, Joe, and Ramsay. They are hilarious. Last night, we watched the chefs compete in different challenges, leading up the selection of the top 18, which included the blind woman and the wife of the husband/wife duo (which, sadly, meant the husband had to return his apron).
On tonight’s episode, the top 18 contestants must create a dish using duck and bananas; the judges challenge the cooks to use unusual ingredients.
To watch how they cook under pressure, tune in to FOX at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of MasterChef @ Clicker.
Tonight, I’ll also be watching/DVRing Hell’s Kitchen, Jane by Design, and Love in the Wild.
Last week, Franklin & Bash returned for its second season, and the guys were back to their crazy antics. Stanton told Peter and Jared that he was going to ask the other partners to vote them in as full equity partners in the firm. However, to prove themselves, they must sign beverage-company bigwig Lawrence Reynolds as a client. The guys won their case and were voted in as partners and were then free to hire their own assistants – which means that Carmen and Pindar are now also part of the firm. But Damian and Hanna seemed to already be plotting the demise of Peter and Jared. Meanwhile, Pindar started to face the root cause of his phobias: his former college roommate.
What I really enjoy about this show is when Franklin & Bash use their unconventional, theatrical, over-the-top courtroom antics to win their cases. This show blends humor with interesting cases of the week, while also exploring the personal lives of the characters. Peter and Jared are just two fun guys you want to hang out with! Also, they get some pretty great guest stars on this show… Tonight, it’s Jane Seymour and Sean Astin!
In tonight’s episode, “Viper,” Jared and Peter’s first manslaughter case centers on an aspiring crime fighter charged with pursuing a man who later died. Meanwhile, Peter’s mother pays a visit and delivers big news; and Pindar battles his phobias.
See it tonight on TNT at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Franklin & Bash @ Clicker.
Tonight, I’ll also be watching/recording Hell’s Kitchen, MasterChef, Jane by Design, Chopped, Rizzoli & Isles, The Glee Project, and Workaholics.
