Tonight is the series premiere of High School Moms on TLC at 10/9c. The show follows the real-life drama at a Colorado high school devoted exclusively to pregnant girls and teen moms. Every day brings new challenges to the school’s dedicated teachers and students, as the girls try to balance schoolwork, sonograms, diapers and dreams of a bright future.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Animal Practice on NBC at 10:38/9:38c. The show is a new comedy centering on Dr. George Coleman (Justin Kirk, Weeds), a top veterinarian with an impressive list of famous animal patients at the Crane Animal Hospital – a bustling New York City veterinary practice where it often seems as if the patients are running the place. Despite his unorthodox style, George has an undeniable gift with animals of all kinds – except the human kind. Much to his chagrin, George recently learned that his ex-girlfriend, Dorothy Crane (JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Better with You), has inherited the family business and is now George’s boss. Whip-smart and ambitious, Dorothy shakes up the hospital as she brings order to the chaos and butts heads with George’s animal-friendly administration. Tyler Labine (Reaper, Sons of Tucson) plays Dr. Doug Jackson, a vet who’s great with animals, but hapless in matters of the heart; Bobby Lee (Harold & Kumar) stars as Dr. Yamamoto; Kym Whitley (We Bought a Zoo) stars as Juanita; and newcomer Betsy Sodaro (The Nick Show Kroll) stars as Nurse Angela. Dr. Rizzo, the resident capuchin monkey at Crane Animal Hospital and George’s closest companion is played by Crystal (The Hangover II, Community). This is a preview of the pilot. New episodes will air next in September.

After more than a decade of running restaurants in some of the world’s top hotels, Gordon Ramsay knows firsthand the crucial importance of surpassing guests’ highest expectations. In this new show, Ramsay will endure hotels at their worst – from filthy bedrooms and mold-ridden bathrooms to dreadful room service and incompetent staff – all so unsuspecting guests don’t have to. After he has uncovered all the dirty secrets, Ramsay will put the hotel owners and employees to work as he attempts to turn around these failing establishments. With reputations on the line, one thing is certain: if they can’t meet Ramsay’s high standards, they will never check out of HOTEL HELL.

The cast of this fierce and emotionally charged new competition show honoring America’s armed forces includes four-time undefeated world boxing champion Laila Ali, actor Dean Cain (Lois & Clark), actor and former National Football League player Terry Crews (The Expendables 2, The Newsroom), multi-platinum recording artist, actor, producer and television personality Nick Lachey (The Sing-Off), Alaska businessman Todd Palin, Olympic gold medalist Picabo Street, The Biggest Loser trainer Dolvett Quince, and WWE Diva, Eve Torres. The series will be hosted by General Wesley Clark (ret.) – the former Supreme Allied Commander Europe for NATO and former presidential candidate – and television personality Samantha Harris (Entertainment Tonight, Dancing with the Stars).

Tonight is also the series premiere of United Bates of America on TLC at 9/8c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 9:30/8:30c. The new show follows Gil & Kelly Jo Bates and their large brood of 19 children, ranging in age from six-months to 23-years old. Audiences will recognize the Bates family from several episodes of the hit series 19 Kids & Counting, as they are close friends of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s clan. Each thirty-minute episode explores a new adventure with the Bates family as they manage everyday life in the hills of Tennessee – and the inevitable chaos that ensues with 10 girls and 9 boys running around under one roof. This eight-part series begins with newborn Jeb’s emotional homecoming from the hospital – and the unavoidable adjustment of adding another child to the family – along with the children planning for their much-anticipated annual Valentine’s “I Love You Day” gift exchange soiree. Over the course of the season, Kelly Jo and Gil share their love of music and family values – from homeschooling their children, to goofing off while building chicken coops and whitewater rafting. Second oldest daughter Erin, heads off to college for the first time to continue her education beyond her many years of homeschooling and the gang goes to hang out with the Duggars at the biggest social event of the year – the annual ATI homeschooling conference.

Tonight is ALSO the series premiere of Big Tiny: Life with the Jordans on TLC at 10/9c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 10:30/9:30c. TLC opens the door to the extraordinary life of Bridgette (Bri) and Bradley (Brad) Jordan, the world’s smallest siblings in the new series. Crowned the “World’s Shortest Living Woman,” Bri weighs 18-pounds and stands at a diminutive 27-inches while her brother, Brad, weighs 35-pounds and stands at 38-inches, making them the world’s shortest living brother and sister. But don’t let their size fool you. With booming self-confidence, unbelievable athleticism and larger-than-life personalities, Bri and Brad tackle everyday life just like anybody else. This captivating new series gives an inside look at how two unique siblings fighting the odds, make something big out of being tiny.

Another series premiere tonight is Gallery Girls on Bravo at 10/9c. The show follows the lives of seven dynamic and ambitious young women in New York City who tackle the cutthroat environment of the art world while vying for their dream jobs. From gallery openings and art shows to the hottest events in the city, the women share a passion for art but are divided between their Manhattan and Brooklyn lifestyles with vastly different views and tastes towards fashion, art and men. Attempting to juggle a chic and fabulous standard of living, the ladies tackle financial struggles, family issues and the pressures of jumpstarting their lives in the city that never sleeps. The cast includes Amy Poliakoff, Angela Pham, Chantal Chadwick, Claudia Martinez, Kerri Lisa, Liz Margulies, & Maggie Schaffer.

One of the biggest series premieres tonight is Major Crimes on TNT at 10:06/9:06c. Two-time Oscar(R) nominee Mary McDonnell will continue her role from The Closer as Los Angeles Police Captain Sharon Raydor. Major Crimes will focus on how the American justice system approaches the art of the deal as law-enforcement officers and prosecutors work together to score a conviction. Joining McDonnell are fellow Closer veterans G.W. Bailey, Tony Denison, Michael Paul Chan, Raymond Cruz and Phillip P. Keene, with guest appearances by Jon Tenney and Robert Gossett. New cast members include Graham Patrick Martin as a homeless juvenile and Kearran Giovanni as an ambitious undercover detective.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Counting Cars on History Channel at 10:30/9:30c. Most people in Las Vegas bet with chips. Danny “The Count” Koker bets with cars. He’s a Sin City legend with an insatiable appetite for anything on wheels. Danny acquires, restores, and customizes classic cars and motorcycles – and then “flips” them for a profit. Well known to History Channel viewers thanks to his frequent appearances on the hits series Pawn Star$, The Count moves into the driver’s seat with his own new series. Ever since the first Model-T rolled off the assembly line in 1908, cars have gripped the psyche. Danny is no different. He walks, talks and breathes American muscle cars, vintage Harleys, tricked out trikes, and dune buggies. When he sees a ride he wants – whether it’s on display at an auto auction or parked at a roadside diner – he will stop at nothing to acquire it, often making on-the-spot offers with cold, hard cash.

Tonight is the series premiere of Collection Intervention on Syfy at 10/9c. Former Head of Special Collections at Christie’s Elyse Luray helps couples, families and individuals whose pop-culture memorabilia collections – from Star Wars and Battlestar Galactica to Catwoman and Barbie – have become damaging obsessions, creating financial strife and a huge strain on their lives. In each of the six hour-long episodes, Elyse will create a strategy that helps these collectors curate and showcase their collection by assessing where the true value lies and then allow them to decide what’s worth keeping and what they can sell. These massive collections include dining rooms stuffed with 30,000 comic books, a garage filled to the rafters with Catwoman memorabilia, and an almost uninhabitable house filled with Transformers. For each collector, parting with some of their collection may free up some much needed space in their home, provide a cash windfall to get out of debt, or even just allow a couple to become more focused on their relationship.

Tonight is also the series premiere of The Week the Women Went on Lifetime at 10/9c. Narrated by comedian Jeff Foxworthy, the five episode, one-hour unscripted series explores modern gender roles and finds out what happens when all of the women leave one American town, leaving the remaining men to run their households, businesses and community on their own. Based on the ground-breaking British social experiment format from the BBC, the show focuses on the tight-knit community of Yemassee, South Carolina, from which its women left for one week last summer. With the women escaping to an isolated site, the town’s men are left to handle all responsibilities –ranging from making the kids’ breakfast and putting them to bed to maintaining their households and coordinating events — many of which resulted in unforeseen issues forcing them to create a new perspective on life during the seven day experience. Filled with a wide range of dramatic challenges and shocking emotions, the show will reveal what the men and women of Yemassee surprisingly learn about themselves and their roles in the home, relationships and society as close friendships are tested, unsung heroes recognized, old rivalries renewed and deep secrets exposed during their time apart. Yemassee, located more than 240 miles northwest of Atlanta, was selected for The Week the Women Went after an extensive search that included nearly 100 towns in the U.S.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of The Burn with Jeff Ross on Comedy Central at 10:30/9:30c. The Infamous “Roastmaster General,” Jeff Ross, is armed and ready to take aim at the week’s hottest topics in the new Comedy Central weekly half-hour series. To get warmed up for “The Burn,” Jeff Ross took his roast on the road to film the one-hour stand-up special , which premiered on Comedy Central on Saturday, August 11. This new show picks up where the Roasts leave off: Ross and a panel of guest comedians will skewer the week’s pop culture topics in-studio, and hit the streets on the “Roaster Coaster” to take aim at “Public Enemies” such as meter maids, the paparazzi, and those things in life that just need to be taken down a notch. With other segments including “Roasting the Week,” a no-holds-barred look at the week’s hot topics; “Friendly Fire,” in which Ross knocks on celebrity front doors, camera in tow; and “Too Soon,” featuring commentary on the (extremely) recently departed, Ross continues to earn the title of “Meanest Man in Comedy,” bestowed on him by New York Magazine.
