Tonight is the series premiere of One Car Too Far on Discovery Channel at 9/8c. Meet survival’s odd couple and strap in for a rescue mission like no other. The all-new five part series follows former British Special Forces soldier Gary Humphrey and Southern California-based car fanatic and problem solver Bill Wu as they enter remote locations in Chile and work together to recover a four wheel drive vehicle that has been flown in and dropped into locations where no car has gone before. They’re given a tracker to find the car, and once they do, the adventure begins. Over the course of three days, Gary and Bill employ unusual survival techniques and quirky mechanical tricks to achieve their main objective: return the car to civilization! Each episode features a different climate in Chile, a country that hosts at least seven major climatic subtypes, including desert, alpine tundra, humid subtropical, oceanic, and Mediterranean. While the climates change in each episode, the one constant is the vehicle they must return to safety – a red all terrain jeep.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Copper on BBC America at 10/9c. In a time when disorder and mayhem were the law of the land, Kevin Corcoran was New York City’s finest. This gripping drama, filled with intrigue, corruption, mystery and murder follows Detective Kevin Corcoran – a rugged Irish immigrant cop – as he seeks justice for the powerless in the notorious immigrant neighbourhood of Five Points. Bonded by battle to two Civil War compatriots – the wayward son of a wealthy industrialist and an African-American physician who secretly assists the forensic investigations – Corcoran is thrust into the contrasting worlds of elegant and corrupt Fifth Avenue, and the emerging African- American community in Northern Manhattan. The three men share a secret from the battlefield that inextricably links their lives forever.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Married to Jonas on E! at 10/9c. Spend Sunday nights with the newest couple to join the E! family — Kevin and Danielle Jonas. When Kevin, a member of the Grammy-nominated band the Jonas Brothers, met the then Danielle Deleasa in 2007 while on a family vacation in the Bahamas, the two instantly fell in love. After a whirlwind courtship, Dani, the down-to-earth girl next door from a small town in New Jersey, accepted Kevin’s proposal and tied the knot in 2009. Once married, the bright-eyed young couple entered a whole new world together. Three years later, they are still working to find the balance between settling down in New Jersey and Kevin’s worldwide fame. Like most young couples, Kevin and Dani are attempting to make their house a home, dealing with mutually eccentric but polar opposite in-laws, and achieving their dream of one day starting a family of their own. However, this couple has the added pressures of a worldwide fan base, Kevin heading back into the recording studio with his equally successful brothers Joe and Nick, and remembering that Dani has personal goals of her own. Kevin and Dani are in for one wild adventure to prove to themselves and their families that they aren’t too young to be husband and wife.

Tonight is the series premiere of The Inbetweeners on MTV at 10:30/9:30c. MTV is bringing viewers a summer full of “inbetweeners” – that is, not nerds or jocks, but kids who are smack in the middle of the high school social ladder. The show takes a comedic look at a group of teenagers navigating high school and charging into adulthood the way everyone does… by taking one step forward and three steps back. Whether humiliating themselves in an effort to impress the girl of their dreams, or mercilessly mocking their friend for driving a bright yellow clunker with a cassette player and one blue door, get ready to embrace the “inbetween.”
