It’s the start of another week, and it’s only ONE WEEK until my little girl starts grade two—time machine, let’s get this week over. (Where’s Doc Brown when you need him?) I love my daughter, but I am looking forward to having her back in school. She is so over summer vacation! While I not-so-patiently count down the days until school, let’s see what there is on the old tube to keep us busy!
An ode to True Blood: Oh, how I love your crazy, ludicrous story lines, the violence, the blood, the backstabbing, the anger, the love, the heartache… Need I go on? This season has been a mixture of emotions and a smorgasbord of crazy. I’m not sure yet if I loved it—I’m going to need some time to reflect on that—however, I can say that Evil Bill was intense. There also should have been more Eric—because more Eric makes Megan a happy girl. Okay, maybe all Eric, all the time? 🙂 How sad was it when Russell drained the Elder fairie? I loved her.
On tonight’s season finale, “Save Yourself,” Eric embarks on a final desperate mission to save Bill from losing his humanity.
To see if Eric can be the Sam to Bill’s Frodo, tune in to HBO at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of True Blood @ Clicker.
Tonight, I’ll also be watching The Great Escape.

Tonight, the first season of HBO’s The Newsroom comes to an end. Last week, Mackenzie delivered a motivational speech to the News Night staff that the blackout would allow them to get back to covering worthy news instead of sensational stories. However, the lights came back on mid-speech, and it was back to Casey Anthony and Weiner-gate. The GOP hated News Night’s mock debate, accusing ACN of trying to embarrass the Republican Party candidates, and said they would only let them host the debate if Mackenzie is not in charge and if the old, soft-spoken Will McAvoy is back. Meanwhile, Jim signed for a flower delivery from Don’s ex, discovering the truth about Don’s affair. He decided to tell Maggie about his true feelings but chickened out when he saw Don, and said he was at the apartment to see Lisa. Afterwards, Don finally revealed the truth about his affair to Maggie. And while working on his internet troll story, Neal saw a post making a death threat against Will.
So both Will’s career and life are in danger. Will ACN keep him or lose him, will they get the debates, where does Mackenzie fit into all of this, and what will happen with this death threat? I suspect at least one of these will end in a season finale cliffhanger. As for Maggie and Jim, why can’t these two just talk and tell each other their feelings?! It should be so obvious that they have mutual feelings, yet neither one seems to want to admit it!
In tonight’s episode, “The Greater Fool,” Mac is shaken by a potentially devastating revelation from gossip columnist Nina Howard. Meanwhile, Sloan mulls a new job opportunity; Neal’s Internet alias could prevent a catastrophe; and Will, Mac, and Charlie confront Leona and Reese during a volatile lunch meeting.
Tonight, I’ll also be watching/recording Breaking Bad, Big Brother, The Great Food Truck Race, Leverage, The Great Escape, Hell on Wheels, Drop Dead Diva, Copper, True Blood, Weeds, and Episodes.
Check it out tonight on HBO at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of The Newsroom @ Clicker.
