I’m sorry this is up so late, but it couldn’t be avoided because I had to edit a last-minute manuscript for work yesterday, so I’m running behind on everything I usually do Saturday. Oops. 🙂 But here’s what we think you should be watching tonight. 😉
I LOVED last week’s season premiere of Halloween Wars on Food Network. It just amazes me the creations these teams can come up with. The clowns were every degree of scary and crazy you can imagine. The right team went home, so I was thrilled. Tonight should be another good episode. I can’t wait to see what they come up with!
On tonight’s episode, “Battle of the Vampire Killer,” four remaining teams made up of a pumpkin carving expert, cake artist, and candy craftsman must capture an epic battle in which a vampire killer slays his prey. In the end, one team will be eliminated. Tonight’s guest judge is Rutina Wesley, who plays Tara on Tru Blood.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching/DVRing America’s Funniest Home Videos, Cupcake Wars, The Amazing Race, The Mentalist, Iron Chef America, & Copper.

The Amazing Race has been totally kicking butt this season with some incredible scenery, as well as some totally random teams that make me giggle at their absurdity. I was so sad when Amy and Daniel were eliminated because I really felt like they had the right mindset behind it, as well at a good heart—although it can be said for sure that nice guys finish last because in the premiere, they got stomped on by helping the other team. Overall, I can’t believe that we’re already into the third week of this show, and I’m expecting the rest of the season to be a crazy journey.
On tonight’s episode, “There’s No Crying in Baseball,” as teams continue racing through Indonesia, they discover that it’s every team for themselves as they encounter a Double U-Turn, and teams start to feel the heat of the race as their heads are set ablaze.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching/DVRing The Good Wife, Once Upon a Time, The Mentalist, and Cupcake Wars.
The dead are rising again—I can’t wait for tonight’s third season premiere of The Walking Dead! When we last saw our gang of survivors, Shane had turned into a walker, and Carl shot him dead. The walkers had finally found their way to the farm and launched a full-on attack. In the process, the farm was burned to the ground, and Hershel stood his ground, defending his farm until his last breath. The remaining survivors managed to escape in their vehicles. However, they forgot Andrea, who was left to fend for herself without a vehicle. She ran into the woods, with walkers following closely behind. Just as she was about the get overrun, a mysterious hooded woman with two pet arm-less zombies on chains shows up.
I haven’t read the comics, but ever since season one, the fans of the comics have been constantly talking about when are we going to see the Prison, The Governor, and Michonne. Well, that time is finally here in the third season. I can’t wait to see what all the hype is about with the return of zombie-filled Sunday nights! I’m also looking forward to the return of The Talking Dead, The Walking Dead after show hosted by Chris Hardwick, which also starts back up tonight.
In tonight’s episode, “Seed,” Rick comes upon a potential sanctuary and pushes the group to secure the area.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching/recording: The Amazing Race, The Good Wife, The Mentalist, Once Upon a Time, Revenge, 666 Park Avenue, Dexter, and Homeland.
I loved the first season of Once Upon a Time. Or so I thought. Releasing magic and memories to Storybrooke has been such a great addition and adds so much more layer to the story. Looking back, they could’ve just done this halfway through season 1, but that’s just my opinion. Till now, we’ve seen Emma and Mary Margaret get trapped in the fairytale world and seen the struggle for power between Rumpelstiltskin and Regina start. And on top of that, if anyone leaves Storybrook, their previous (magic-less) identities appear to become permanent.
On tonight’s episode, “Lady of the Lake,” Emma and Mary Margaret try to get back to Storybrooke with the help of Mulan, while Henry tries to convince Jefferson to reunite with his daughter.

I’ll also be watching Revenge and The Walking Dead.
