If We Controlled Your Remote… 10/15/12

Holy crow! Can you believe that this month is almost over? Halloween is upon us, and I’m already planning my Christmas decorating, baking, and shopping (stop groaning 🙂 ). Alright, I’ll stop jumping in time…for now, let’s just focus on all the great television that is on tonight.

Hawaii Five-0 never ceases to amaze me with the writers’ ability to combine intense drama and great comedy with a fabulous cast (and not just the fact that they are crazy sexy.) Last week, we watched McGarrett and Dano get stuck in a dingy, when true characters come out. McGarrett (aka my TV boyfriend) managed to tow the dingy while Dano sat and panicked about the shark in the water. Danny seriously needs to take a chill pill.

On tonight’s episode, “Misfortune,” Doris McGarrett (guest star Christine Lahti) pays an unexpected visit to her son while the team investigates the death of a polo player who literally loses his head.

To see how my TV boyfriend saves the day yet again, tune in to CBS at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Hawaii Five-0 @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching/DVRing Mike & Molly, 2 Broke Girls, and Revolution.

My pick tonight is no surprise… I am LOVING Castle this season. Last week was great, both the Beckett/Castle relationship and the case and characters. Castle and Beckett doing the whole handshake because they can’t kiss at work thing is just too sexy, romantic, and sweet, and all the talk about the stick figure in Beckett’s desk was cute. With the case, I loved the two of them at the storage unit trying to bid on it, and I absolutely hated the butler for killing the entire family—in the past and now in the present. I also loved seeing the captain being so hyped up for Castle after he gave her the doll, but then once he broke it (hubby & I KNEW he had to. LOL), she was back to being mean to him. VERY funny. It’s great to see Ryan and Espisito not at each other’s throats, and it’s going to be fun to see them team up to figure out who Beckett is dating. And the stuff with Alexis going off to college, even though she’ll be only a few miles from home, was great. I loved Alexis telling Castle that she didn’t dislike Beckett. Basically she was just nervous about being away from home for the first time. And Castle checking under the bed one last time? *swoon*

On tonight’s episode, “Murder, He Wrote,” Castle and Beckett’s plans for a romantic weekend in the Hamptons are interrupted when a dying man stumbles into Castle’s backyard, collapsing into his pool. Unable to escape the lure of the investigation, they join up with the small town’s well-intentioned, but inexperienced sheriff to find the killer.

Don’t miss the romance, drama, and comedy that only Castle can bring tonight on ABC at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Castle @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching/DVRing Dancing with the Stars, How I Met Your Mother, Alphas, Partners, 2 Broke Girls, Mike & Molly, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, & Hawaii Five-0.

Tonight, the first season of Major Crimes comes to an end, but fear not, it has already been picked up for a second season! In last week’s episode, the Major Crimes unit worked to stop a group of identity thieves. In a shocking turn of events, Sykes went undercover and actually did something right! Meanwhile, Rusty went on an overnight trip with his father. However, Rusty returned home early with a black eye after Daniel punched him for talking about his past as a street walker with his fiancee. Sharon took pictures of the injuries and told Rusty he’d never have to see his father again.

I figured they would find some way to keep Rusty living with Raydor. He’s a great character, and the two of them work well together. It’s sad to see the season come to an end so quickly, but I’ve really enjoyed the short run. I really don’t find myself missing the original version of The Closer at all. I wonder if they will leave us with a big cliffhanger season finale like The Closer used to do.

In tonight’s episode, “Long Shot,” Major Crimes teams with the FBI to apprehend a lethal sniper. Meanwhile, Raydor negotiates a deal that even Provenza can support.

See how the season ends tonight on TNT at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Major Crimes @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching/recording How I Met Your Mother, 2 Broke Girls, Castle, The Voice, Revolution, Switched at Birth, $24 in 24, Alphas, and The Inbetweeners.

Last week, 90210 started, and it was interesting. At least the cliffhangers weren’t solved in the first five minutes of the episode, which is a good thing. But still, some things were handled a little too quickly, although that is always the case with this show. I loved the return of Lori Loughlin and how the colleagues of Max were so protective of him.

On tonight’s episode, “The Sea Change,” Naomi and Max’s honeymoon has to wait because their wedding caused a public relations problem, Adrianna runs into Taylor again because he partnered with Liam and Navid to re-launch The Offshore, and Annie and Dixon encounter Riley, a fellow patient, who warns Anne to stop babying Dixon.

Watch the stories unfold on The CW at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of 90210 @ Clicker.

I’ll also be watching Alphas, The Voice, Partners, 2 Broke Girls, Gossip Girl, Mike & Molly, and Castle.
