Well, Sandy is unleashing her anger up here in Canada last night and today—power has been in and out, and I’m sure I just saw someone’s lawn chair go flying by my house. Should be an interesting clean up. I hope that everyone is staying safe and you still have power to read this post, as well as to watch some television. With all the stress from the storm, just let us guide your remote by taking our suggestions.
The Mindy Project has quickly become one of my favorite comedies, mostly because I love Mindy’s habit of inappropriate rambling—may or may not remind me of someone I know. 😉 The way she stumbles into dates but always ends up tumbling into bed with the sexy doctor Jeremy… There are worse ways to live your life than that. Aside from all her frolicking and goofing around, Mindy is actually a very good doctor with a good heart—she just needs to focus a bit more.
On tonight’s episode, “Halloween,” Mindy frantically searches for the right Halloween costume to impress Josh when he invites her to a party; Danny and Jeremy take the test to get their driver’s licenses.
To see what crazy costume she comes up with, tune into FOX at 9:30/8:30c. Learn where to find episodes online of The Mindy Project @ Clicker.
I’ll also be watching The Voice, NCIS, NCIS: LA, Go On, New Girl, Hart of Dixie, Emily Owens MD, and Flashpoint.

We don’t get to see a lot of personal information about the team members on NCIS: LA—well, aside from Callen, and that’s really only because so much of his past is a mystery, even to him. But tonight’s first part of a two-part episode deals with Sam’s history. I can’t wait to learn more about his past. And we all know how much I love Deeks, as well as Deeks and Kensi together, and tonight’s episode should have a fun story line with the two of them.
On tonight’s episode, “Out of the Past, Part 1,” when a CIA agent who worked with Sam Hanna over eight years ago seeks his help and is soon found dead of an apparent suicide, Hanna and Callen suspect foul play and a bigger conspiracy. Meanwhile, Deeks finds his inner “dog whisperer” with Kensi as the two go undercover and enter a dog show with a prized poodle.
See what new information we can learn tonight on CBS at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of NCIS: LA @ Clicker.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing Flashpoint, Raising Hope, NCIS, NCIS: LA, Vegas, Happy Endings, The New Normal, Dancing with the Stars, Ben and Kate, 19 Kids & Counting, Total Blackout, Covert Affairs, Chef Race: U.K. vs U.S., & Sons of Anarchy.
Tonight, it’s game show night on Syfy. First up is the second season premiere of Total Blackout. Hosted by Jaleel White, four contestants (or pairs of contestants) are pitted against one another to win $5000. Each episode consists of three rounds, where the contestants are placed in total darkness and must overcome their fears to identify items or complete tasks. Sometimes, the objects are nothing but simple household objects, but in the total darkness, the contestants’ minds race and make up all kinds of horrors. I loved this show last season—it was hilarious and had me laughing out loud all the time, and I’m really looking forward to some new episodes.
Next up, it’s the series premiere of Viral Video Showdown. This new series puts the world’s most accomplished viral video producers in a head-to-head competition. Each week, two new teams are given a theme and a tiny budget from which they must create a video that will impress the expert panel of judges. I was a little wary when I saw that this comes from the same team that produced Jersey Shore, but I’m interested in checking this out—it could be a fun pairing with Total Blackout.
In tonight’s episode of Total Blackout, “Don’t Burst Your Bubble Helmet,” teams try to guess the weight of various creatures and later have to identify items placed around their heads. The final challenge is a maze filled with mousetraps. Then, in the Viral Video Showdown premiere, “Real Life Movie Trailer,” it’s a movie-trailer challenge.
Tonight, I’ll also be watching/recording Happy Endings, The Mindy Project, The Voice, Don’t Trust the B— in Apt 23, Go On, The New Normal, Raising Hope, Ben and Kate, New Girl, Hart of Dixie, Emily Owens, M.D., Sons of Anarchy, Flipping Out, Covert Affairs, Face Off, Chef Race: U.K. vs U.S., and Underemployed. (I swear Tuesdays get worse each week!)
Oh my. The last episode of New Girl was all kinds of hilarious. Jess taking over Cece’s modeling job was the goofy and clumsy Jess we know, while trying to be a good person and not just for the sake of it (which is the tightrope New Girl is constantly walking on).
On tonight’s episode, “Halloween,” Jess gets a job as a zombie at a haunted house, Schmidt and Cece are perfectly matched in their Halloween costume while Winston and Shelby aren’t, and Nick gets a visit from a former crush who shows her affection in a scary way.
See the Halloween-goodness on FOX at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of New Girl @ Clicker.
I’ll also be watching The Voice, Happy Endings, The Mindy Project, Don’t Trust the B— in Apt 23, and Go On.
