It’s been a bit insane around my house—kids injuring themselves, dogs eating foreign objects, and frankly, I’m tired! Tonight, I plan on sitting on the couch and doing absolutely nothing but watching excellent television. Care to join me?
Two doses of Gordon Ramsay a week is definitely a good thing, but MasterChef has become my favorite of the two cooking competition shows this season. What an eventful and exciting start this season is off to! Truth is, the contestants this season are all so talented, but there are also some incredibly difficult personalities. My favorites are Krissi because I love her approach to recipes and her strong attitude; I also love Jonny because he cooks seafood like I would—I love all things seafood. Plus, he’s freaking adorable! As for contestants that I cannot stand, there is one mean girl in the kitchen who makes me want to scream at my television, and that is none other than…NATASHA! Seriously? What is wrong with this girl? There is no denying she can cook, but does she need to be such a complete stuck-up snob while she’s at it? I suppose there has to be at least one on every show, but I really wish she would mess up enough to go home already, because if she ends up winning, it’ll leave a bad taste in my mouth.
On tonight’s episode, “Top 16, Part 1 and 2,” the cooks prepare a steak meal for firefighters; the challenge losers cook eggs benedict; four cooks prepare burger dishes at Gordon Ramsay BurGR in Las Vegas.
To see who can’t cook an egg to save their bacon, tune in to FOX at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching The American Baking Competition, Melissa & Joey, Baby Daddy, and Necessary Roughness.
Jump with us to see else we think you should watch.
The first two episodes of the new season of Melissa & Joey have been great. First, Joe thought about taking another job—although he was unhappy it was going to be a “manny” position, not in the corporate world. Mel kind of freaked out when she heard he was thinking of leaving. Whether she wanted to admit it or not, she would miss having him around all the time. It was only when Ryder was caught smoking weed on a class trip that Joe realized how much he was still needed there, even though the kids were growing up and becoming more independent. Then last week, Mel and Joe were both dating someone new. Each of their significant others was a single parent…and it turned out they were dating an ex-husband & ex-wife. Watching them compete for the little boy’s attention and affection was hysterical, especially when they got him stuck in the storm drain. Lennox got upset when her boyfriend told her she shouldn’t get a tattoo, so she rushed down to get one, but then he stopped it just in time. When she got home, she freaked out her Aunt Mel by showing off her new “tattoo,” which turned out to be henna or something and would wash off after a month. And finally, Ryder is going a little nuts being home all the time because he was expelled for the rest of the year. for his art project, he ended up remaking his school in the garage using trash and cardboard and duct tape. Poor thing. LOL
On tonight’s first episode, “Inside Job,” Joe paints Mel into a corner, forcing her to get him a job at City Hall with fellow City Council member Paul (guest star Alimi Ballard). Once there, Joe gets wrapped up in another potential financial scandal, leading to all sorts of headaches for Mel. Alimi Ballard (who starred alongside Melissa Joan Hart in Sabrina, the Teenage Witch), Sterling Knight, & Blake Michael guest star.
Then on the second episode, “Can’t Hardly Wait,” after a back injury lands Joe at the hospital, he asks out his cute chiropractor. Joey thinks this could be really special and wants to take things slow, but even he doesn’t anticipate her revelation that she’s always taken things very slow. Melissa Joan Hart directs. Sterling Knight & Marla Sokoloff (who I ADORE and starred in Big Day & The Practice) guest star.
Laugh along with me tonight on ABC Family at 8/7c & 9:30/8:30c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing The American Baking Competition, MasterChef, Baby Daddy x 2, Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy, Royal Pains, & Top Shot.
Tonight, Royal Pains returns for its fifth season on USA. When we last left the HankMed gang, Divya had secretly gotten married to Rafa, but later regretted her impulsive decision and wanted an annulment. Meanwhile, Evan and Paige went through with their own wedding, and Hank reunited with Jill over Skype, but shortly afterwords, his speech starting slurring and he collapsed. While under anesthesia, Hank had a vision of a very much alive Boris, who said it was still not safe for him to return to the Hamptons.
So where does this leave things for the new season? Was Hank’s surgery successful? Will either Boris or Jill be back this season? Are things still great between newlyweds Evan and Paige, or is the honeymoon over? Will Divya ever find love? I guess we’ll just have to see what the sun and sands of the Hamptons brings for us this season.
On tonight’s episode, “Hankwatch,” Hank gets back to work after recovering from surgery and treats a woman whose fund-raising efforts may be harming her health. Elsewhere, Jeremiah helps HankMed meet demand; a potential new client catches Evan off guard; and Divya receives surprising news.
Find out how our favorite Hamptons crew are getting along tonight on USA Network at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching/recording The American Baking Competition, Family Tools, How to Live with Your Parents (for the Rest of Your Life), MasterChef, Melissa & Joey, Baby Daddy, and MythBusters.
