I had a great beginning to the week with my sister visiting me for a few days. I haven’t seen her since June, so it was long overdue. We had a lot of laughs and spent some quality time together, but today, she had to go home. 🙁 I guess I’m going to console myself with some television tonight, so let’s see what’s on.
I’m really excited to see how the last few weeks of MasterChef unfold, because there have been some people that were sitting in the middle of the pack that are now taking front seats. Last week, Krissi won her first mystery box, and despite the fact that a lot of people don’t like her, I do. It’s true, she can be childish and bitchy, but so can Natasha. Honestly, I believe that because so many of the contestants automatically judged Krissi so harshly in the beginning, she decided to just put on an act of being super tough. In the end, I’d be happy if she won, but honestly, I think sadly it’s going to be Natasha.
On tonight’s episode, “Top 6 Compete,” the cooks must re-create popular dishes served at a fine-dining restaurant in downtown Los Angeles; the losing team must prepare a perfect plate of fried calamari with a side of marinara sauce.
To see which cook fails to meet the standards, tune in to FOX at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching Modern Dads, Broadchurch, Top Chef Masters, and Duck Dynasty.

I’m kind of excited about A&E’s new show, Modern Dads. This new reality series follows a tight-knit group of stay-at-home fathers balancing their roles as dudes and dads. It features four stay-at-home dads who may be a little unconventional, but they get the job done. Banning together, their “guys club” is a tribe of suburban, child-rearing dudes who are just trying to do their thing…with a kid (or four) on their hip. A good day at the office for them is just keeping their kids, and their manhood, alive. This new series will follow their exploits as they navigate their lives, juggling the requirements and social expectations of being both a “modern man” and “modern dad” while their significant others are off at work.
I love the idea of this show. I hope it doesn’t turn out to be a Real Houswives-type reality show. I’m definitely gonna give it a shot, though, because it looks like it’ll be cute.
On tonight’s episode, “Piece of Cake,” the guys help Rick plan the twins’ first birthday party. Stone considers a vasectomy.
Get to know these dads tonight on A&E at 10:30/9:30c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing Melissa & Joey, America’s Got Talent, MasterChef, Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy, Broadchurch, Hot in Cleveland, The Exes, Top Chef Masters, The Soul Man, & Top Shot.
With just three episodes left, we are heading into the final stretch for Futurama! Last week, it was one of the series’ more touching episodes. The Planet Express crew had to enter Fry’s dreams in order to discover the source of a strange alien melody that threatened all life on the planet. While inside his dream, Fry got to re-live his final days in the 20th Century, spending more time with the family he hadn’t seen in over ten thousand years. What I love about this show is that even during these more heartwarming episodes, they still manage to pack in lots of laughs. I’m really going to miss this show when it’s gone in a few weeks!
On tonight’s episode, “Murder on the Planet Express,” the crew is trapped on the ship with a horrific creature.
Check out the horrific creature tonight on Comedy Central at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching/recording Big Brother, Camp, MasterChef, Melissa & Joey, Baby Daddy, Top Chef Masters, Royal Pains, and Broadchurch.
