I am headed away for the weekend for my dear friend’s wedding. It should be amazing. There’s something fun about getting all dressed up, watching two people vow their love, and then dancing the night away. 🙂 For now, though, I’ll be chilling at home, watching TV just like the rest of you, so let’s see what’s new and fabulous tonight.
It has been a long summer without a fix of the Regan family. Thank goodness Blue Bloods is returning tonight! Last season, we watched the boys work to take down the Los Lordes gang, especially after we lost Vinny to their violence the episode before. It was a heart-wrenching final few episodes, but I am ready to see what rollercoaster ride the writers take us on this season. At the end of it all, there is still delicious eye candy in this cast, which makes all the drama easier to handle.
On tonight’s season premiere, “Unwritten Rules,” Frank pushes to have a cop killer brought to justice, but Erin drops the charges and releases the suspect due to lack of evidence.
To see your favorite crime-fighting family back in action, tune in to CBS at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching Hawaii Five-0, MasterChef Junior, Say Yes to the Dress, and Undercover Boss.
Jump with us to see else we think you should watch.
Been a while since we all had something to write about on Friday! Thank goodness fall TV’s back, and that includes tonight’s season premiere of Hawaii Five-0. Last season ended huge, with Kono go off into the sunset (well, at night, on a cargo ship…) with Adam and Steve’s mom, all because Adam had to get away from his enemies—I love Adam, btw. It took a while for me to trust him, but he killed his brother to save Kono. He is a good guy trying to get him and his family out of the old, bad business! Yay! Anyway, once they were off, Steve went to prison to visit Wo Fat (who is looking a little pitiful with the facial scaring!). While there, Wo Fat said Steve needed to protect him…and then the episode ended as there was shooting outside the secure area Steve and Wo Fat were in and someone started blowtorching their way through the solid steel door. Eek!
I’m excited about the return of this show because I want to find out who is coming after Wo Fat and why, how Kono and Adam are going to return, why/how Steve’s mom is involved with Wo Fat, and because Steve’s girlfriend Catherine is a series regular. Yay! (and okay, I already know at least some of those answers, because I’ve seen the premiere, and it was a really good episode. 😉 )
On tonight’s episode, “Aloha ke kahi I ke kahi (We Need Each Other),” after McGarrett and Wo Fat narrowly escape from maximum security, gunmen storm Five-0 headquarters, compromising Kono and Adam’s secret location in Hong Kong and forcing McGarrett to break the law and turn on his own in order to find a kidnapped Catherine. Chi McBride & Henry Ian Cusick guest star.
Find out how the team gets out of these sticky situations tonight on CBS at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing Last Man Standing, MasterChef Junior, The Neighbors, & Blue Bloods.
The cheftestants facing judges Gordon Ramsay, Joe Bastianich, and Graham Elliot just got a little younger. Tonight, in a new MasterChef Junior version of the series, talented foodie kids between the ages of 8 and 13 cook and bake it out for for the trophy and title of “MasterChef Junior.” Skipping the usual audition episodes, tonight we jump right in, as the final 24 are narrowed down to the final 12 based on a single dish.
I was quite impressed by the extensive food knowledge and refined palates of these youngsters! While the judges seem to be a bit friendlier, they don’t completely hold back when it comes to providing feedback. The kids are serious about this competition, but also have a lot of fun with the judges. This is an entertaining new take on the MasterChef franchise.
On tonight’s episode, “Junior Edition: Here Come the Kids,” twenty-four junior chefs between the ages of 8 and 13 present seafood, pasta, and dessert dishes in an audition round.
See the kids in action tonight on FOX at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching/recording The Neighbors, Haven, and Strike Back.
Last week on America’s Next Top Model, Tyra was being a B-word when she didn’t tell us which male model was getting back into the competition. I’m so hoping it will be Jeremy. He was so cute and sweet. But we’ll have to wait another week to find out, because tonight is a recap episode of never-before-seen footage. And Renee hooked up with Starvin Marvin last week, which was quite disappointing. But I’m expecting Chris, Renee, and Jourdan to get near or even into the finale, because they are great.
On tonight’s episode, “The Guys and Girls Get Flirty,” behind-the-scenes confessions, flirtations, and meltdowns are revealed in never-before-seen footage.
Check out the fun tonight on The CW at 9/8c.
