Happy Tuesday! I’m so excited because we’re one day closer to Christmas. I love having our tree and lights up. It makes it feel so festive in here. Before we give you our recommendations, I have to say that Kyle got me to watch Come Dine With Me on Lifetime, and that show has now become one of my favorites. It’s SO freakin’ funny. You guys have to check it out if you didn’t already. Now, here’s what we’re recommending for tonight!
I absolutely adore Trophy Wife. The cast is great, the stories are always funny, and I just love how the characters interact. Last week, Dennis Haysbert (The Unit) guest starred as a father of one of the students from Warren’s class. During a class trip, Kate decided to set him up with Diane so she’d maybe get the stick out of her…behind. 😉 What Kate didn’t know was Diane and Russ Bradley Morrison had been seeing each other for a while on the sly. She almost messed it up for them, but Diane manned up and told him in front of everyone that she liked him.
On tonight’s episode, “Twas the Night Before Christmas,” Pete, Kate, Diane and Jackie wake up Christmas morning hung-over and the house in complete disaster. They try to piece together the events of last night’s Christmas Eve festivities while also trying to save Christmas for the kids. Phyllis Smith (The Office) guest stars.
Find out what they did after a few too many drinks tonight on ABC at 9:31/8:31c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., NCIS, NCIS: LA (guest starring Andrew Leeds, from Bones in his first appearance here!), The Goldbergs, Chopped, Marshal Law: Texas, & Chicago Fire.
Jump with us to see else we think you should watch.
One of the main reasons I enjoy Chopped so much is that there are no contestants to follow week to week. If I’ve missed a few episodes, it’s not going to affect my viewing experience because every show is its own contained dose of deliciousness. At times when I watch the show and some of the ingredients they’re given, I am slightly repulsed, but others, I have an air of superiority sitting on my comfy couch watching as I yell at the screen what they should be doing. Am I qualified at all to tell these professionals what to do? Of course not, but then again, is the man yelling at the referee during a hockey game qualified? No, he just hates the calls. 🙂 Overall, if you haven’t given this entertaining and sometimes nerve-racking cooking challenge show a chance yet, you most certainly should. After all, where else will you see them have to use such random ingredients?
On tonight’s episode, “Teen Talent,” four teenaged chefs compete; the first basket contains a sweet drink and a juicy fruit; the second basket contains sophisticated ingredients; breakfast-like ingredients in the dessert round.
To see how these young chefs handle the pressure, tune in to Food Network at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching NCIS, NCIS: LA, The Goldbergs, The Voice, Trophy Wife, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Chicago Fire, and American Country Awards.
Tonight, another season of Sons of Anarchy comes to a close. Last week, Patterson told Tara that her immunity deal was back on as long as she provided the evidence she promised. So Tara collected some of the bullets she’d pulled out of Bobby, grabbed the kids, and drove off. While we believed it was to meet up with the Feds, she actually drove to a motel. However, when Uncer, Gemma, and Jax learned that Tara disappeared with the kids, their first thought was that she had ratted on them. Meanwhile, the Sons gunned down some of the Irish and set up the Chinese to take the fall; and Juice, still feeling guilty about Clay’s death, overdosed on Oxy, and in his hazy state revealed to Nero that he killed Darvany on Jax’s orders.
I’m looking forward to seeing tonight’s fallout. Will Nero go after Jax and/or the club for killing his cousin’s wife? What will Tara do? Is her plea deal off? Can she even return home safely, or does everyone believe she ratted them out? Who else will die before the end of tonight’s season finale, and what kind of cliffhanger will we be left with?!
On tonight’s episode, “A Mother’s Work,” blowback from Jax’s choices is felt by his family and the club.
See how it all plays out in tonight’s finale on FX at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching/recording Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Goldbergs, Trophy Wife, What Would You Do?, Chopped, and Awkward.
There is a lot of disappointment on the Internet—and among reviewers over Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. And although I agree with most of the criticisms, I’m still convinced the show (and writers) will be able to turn it around. And the ratings do show that there are people that love the show and are sticking with it.
But tonight, I’m recommending the episode because it’s the fall finale (like so many ABC shows this week), and it’s no secret that it will end with a cliffhanger. Tonight also marks the return of J. August Richards from the pilot.
On tonight’s episode, “The Bridge,” Coulson takes the ware back to Centipede, with the help of Mike Peterson. As the team gets closer to the truth, secrets get revealed, and an unexpected twist threatens the team.
Find out what the threat is on ABC at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching Awkward.
